Slash vxl stock on 60 mph

Well i just upgraded my brushed to brushless and i found out that the slash vxl in stock can run 60+ mph
Since i upgraded mine, how come it wont go near 60mph? What do i have to do? What do i change to make my brushed slash like the brushless slash(2wd)

3s lipo and gear it so high that you will make one speed run and have to wait for it to cool off for 10 minutes..

I dunno, 30/86? Use the script asylum speed calculator. Don't use the body or you will either do a magnificent back flip or a terrible 20 foot roof slide..

    I disagree
Run with a body but buy a proline flowtek one
    It is more aerodynamic
Idk is the jconcepts scalpel body works on a 2wd slash

I still cant understand why someone wanting to go fast would by a short coarse truck, that was never intended to go that fast away way?
Just get the xo-1 and be done with it.

I've found it seems the 45-50mph area is where a SCT will start to get lift from the body. To hit 60+ you need massive gearing and probably some mods to the lid to minimize air that flows under it.

Run the body because if it gets all out of shape at those speeds and goes for a tumble a lot less will be damaged with the lid then with everything exposed.

I have a slash with stock vxl system, ran 35/76 gearing, hit 67 mph before it went of the side of the road lol ejected the battery but no damage, it still had PLENTY to go it seemed, just started winding up.

    here is a pit tip
cool motor: i blow my motor with dust remover before, and during a run to keep it cool.
All I need now is to set a new lap record.

How do you spray your motor DURING a run? Just curious.

That's one expensive motor and esc fan totally covers the velineon up
I just bought a cheaper version called the sct race pro combo
    Good enough for me..

Ye,the mamba monster it over kill for the slash. It's fast, but have two of everything for your drive line,as it blow's apart.
I too went to the sct side winder 4 pole for me it's the perfect combination of speed and more importantly toque. That's for short coarse running tho.
I guess if you have the money, and don't mind working on tour truck all the time, the monster is great.
But it's original intent was for 1/8 scale.

Every thing from castle is reliable, the mmp max esc is nice because of its versatility,It can run an handle near any motor,or amp's,Battery's,and so on.
But I have three velienion systems, but just the one castle side winder.
If I would have bought the mmp kit,I still would have to by the 3800 4 pole motor, but then again, because of their computer adjusting capability's I guess the mmp esc would both work.Oh well,ma by next time.
