Need help with clutch bell and spur gear

I recently upgraded my sport to the 2.5R. When I mount the motor on the brackets from the upgrade kit the spur gear and clutch bell do not mesh together at all. I have the factory set and 64t spur gear along with 22T clutch bell. Any Suggestions?

are they not meshing as too close or too far? if they are just right then you should be able to mesh them together.

then get a 70t spur gear on there the 64t is way too small. keep the clutch bell 22t though and it should mesh up good.

your setup you had there at 22/64 will have top end and low lower end but you see you cannot go too low on gearing as it wont mesh. I had my nitro stampede geared 22/70 and had a top end of 50mph and excellent low end wheelies like crazy as well. I almost geared 24/70 but too high.
