    motor upgrades

I've been running a ARC 28-48-1 with a mamba max and external BEC on 2S-4S for a few years now. I am very happy with the performance and price. I'm thinking about getting a second merv for family get togethers so we can have a little wheel to wheel fun. I know the mamba max was discontinued and now looks like the mamba max pro is a good replacement. Is the ARC 28-48-1 still the go-to value motor upgrade or are there some new entries in the market? I see the neu but the $$$ look a bit steep

when I search ARC or 28-48-1 nothing comes back
    thanks!

I don't think they're around anymore. I haven't heard anyone talk about them in a long time much less seen any new builds with them.

Tacon motors are by far the best value, 380 or 540.

The Mamba Max Pro and 5700kv motor make a great combo but require a big block mount. You can use the stock brushed MERV setup or buy an aftermarket one.

HERE are some on ebay, the thing that sucks is that Castle just had them on sale for $129 which was a great deal, I picked one up even though I don't really need it right now.
