Vxl gearing on slash??

H, i just bought the vxl system for my 2wd slash and i was wondering what gearing i should put.
I use a 5000 mah nimh 8.4v venom battery and the stock battery. I use my slash mostly for bashing on pavement and offroad. I dont race. What gearing?

Depends on a lot of things,what surface conditions, track,bashing,a mount of time in and out of the throttle.
I'm not sure if the vxl comes with the optional 23-86 spur?
Just run it and watch your motor temps.
My tool/parts box,has 16-27 tooth pinions,and one extra 86,and 90 tooth spur.

I run 18/86, temps can still get warm but i added a heatsink and fan to the moor, can practically run my whole 5200 mah 3s battery in one shot now...

Ohh i mostly do runs on the street bt sometimes on the park, not in the grass but like little rocks and stuff. I run it for like 40 mins so what gearing?and is the traxxas 3500. Bl motor waterproof?

I never really got the chance to run in the heat yet,but the guys in my race crew,say the velineons run pretty hot around 25-86,but that's on the big oval.
I like short coarse.I have fans for my esc but will be needing them for the motors this summer.
Probable have to go castle creations on one,just to keep up on the oval,the velineon is more than enough on the short coarse.
I just need to improve my driving skills.
Been going straight 1/4 mile to long.
Last year for that,my son can take the rains,I'm to old,and to broke.

My gear is 19/90, is that okay for street runs?

Only your temp gun can be the judge of that, but on a hard surface all should be good.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, Iv read that the VXL system likes a, total reduction ration of 10ish. If you use the 3rd post link you'll see that you're at 12.91.
