Did you measure to see if they fit? I just grabbed my set of xo-1 shaft's and checked to see the length they will telescope to. I'm not sure there will be sufficient spline grabbing to be happy with running the extended arm's. Just a thought.

I ordered up a set of 6mm offset 17mm adapters. Ill let you know how they work out. Nice build so far man, things a beast

the extended a-arms gives you 1.1/8" overall width. My GT body have 12.5" width and the rally have 11" so that put me just about right where i want it to be. if the XO-1 shaft to short then i'll find some some other way.

A 2800kv is in the range to be a perfect motor for the Rally/Slash 4x4. I would like ot find this motor and pair ir with the MM or MMP. Let us know how it is and.

Digger, same as our 1415 motors, CC 2400. And super cheap with the upgrade 5mm. I would be willing to bet the 5mm shaft is made of a different material than our green castle motors... the rep from castle said that its an expensive metal that continuously drives the price up. Maybe that's what sets these rebranded motors apart in price.

Yeah that's what I've heard about the rebranded vs of Castle products. I've been running the mess out of the HPI 4000kv Vektors and i'm also using the waterproof vs of the Sidewinder ( HPI Vapor Pro ). They've been pretty good so far, maybe not the exact same. LOL

If I remember correctly (duh if my memory was intact today ) Oaks did use the rotor shaft from the 2400 and installed it into the 2800kv Losi can. Ding dong no body is home.

Do the rc solutions arms give the proper offset? I was considering building a GT rally and I wasn't sure if it would be better to use those arms or the pro trac arms with the PF8-GT.

I was just checking out my set up for long arms.... 3.25" on a standard Tekno connected to xo1 gives me these longer arms

Yours are gonna be " longer than my mod ..... I think you went to far. But from what I can figure, either my shafts set up (can't even be used on a standard slash because the jam the diff at half way compressed shock) or Tekno axles, and your shafts may just cut it. Here's my mod with the arm level, steering turned full for max amount out of the cup

There its jamming the diff.... if yours is to long, this may be the way to go.

This fits a " extended arm with room to go onProtrac spec TRCE arms. I get the extra length in the xo1 axle . Here you can see how much more it sticks out.
Don't forget, the xo1 axles will stick you with 17mm only but the new trx axles from the cvd's will get it back to 12mm and should be as long but not sure. After all is considered... either Tekno for protrac bones and new sl4sh axles give you almost " extra or the bones you have and tekno axles and hubs for an additional ". Either one lets you go with 12mm and 17mm.

That converts to 3.46 inches. Tekno is 3.2 and the Tekno for protrac are 4mm longer, so about 3.40 or so ....just under 3.5. Will that set you have drop into the xo1 axle? It'll give you another .

OK, i got everything wired up and for the first time plugging in the battery.......heard the usual start up rhyme tone,...then red light flashes, so ok i know i need to bind them. now its working like it should but, i notice that the yellow light keeps on fast blink,..... is that normal with MMP ESC? My MMM does'nt flashes like this.
oo and are all castle ESC manual programing all the same? 1 thru 9

they make one for rally/slash 4x4 cvd just like the xo-1. the only difference betwen the two are the stub axle sizes (XO-1 6mm, rally/slash 5mm)

finding the right lenght cvd are very frustrating, i order one that i'm hoping it will be the right lenght. for the maintime i really want this to run, so i bought some Jato wheels/tires from LHS. My boy that work there he hook me up with a employee discount and he toss me a aluminum bearing adapter #6893X all for $50. what sucks about the wheels/tires is that its few mm wider that its rubbing the body wheelwell and the diameter of the tires are bigger than my onroad buggy tires.

this thing is a rocket on 4s and eventhough i run it without the body on its still very stable, too bad i did'nt get to tape the other 2 tires as i bought it preglued but the other two i have taped it. looks like i'm gonna have to do the boiling procedure to take the tires off lol.

Love the PF8-GT body on the Rally, and glad to see someone else using the All-Star wheels with the Anacondas. I'm running these wheels as well (with the stock A-arms) but they are the TRA5576R (a bit more offset), which means an overall width of approximately 12.3125" or 320mm. Can you tell me if the GT body will be wide enough for this combo, or do I need to use the TRA3773A wheel/tire combo that you are using to get the tires to fit inside the body?

i dont know about the TRA5575R much i just went and grab some from my LHS and they are the TRA3773A preglued and i bought another pair that are not glued so that i can tape them. i ended bioling the preglued one so that i can tape it too, it was ballooning real bad. now that i got them all taped i did a few speed passes and here it is on 4s.
