Humayrayakongkina, I got my PF8 body in, and now I want to mount it. As we talked before, you suggested I go with the Pro-Trac arms to widen the stance and bring the wheels out to the edge of the wheel well. I was looking at your, dreddedend, & diggerpede's posts & discussion on extended length A-Arms. Not withstanding price, although I'm not interested in spending $40/pr for arms, what conclusions have you guys come up with best performance, durability, & fit? Also, exactly what will I have to buy to build the Teckno/XO-1 shafts, and still utilize my XO-1 carriers? You guys have posted so many combinations, I'm SO CONFUSED!!! LOL!! Thanks guys!!

to be honest i was feeling confused at first too, my intension was to stay with traxxas cvd's and aluminum c hub/carriers. then i'm hearing about the traxxas cvd's tend to break easy at the stub axles, so i pass on that, then upon futher looking at the exploded views, i found out XO-1 and slash 4x4 share the same arms c hub/carriers with only few differences... the slash 4x4 have 5mm stub axles while XO have 6mm so, i opted it with XO-1 parts. while i was building my Rally GT8 i already have the PF8 body and when i got my set-up finished....test fit the body in and did'nt like how the wheels are way tucked in so, i'm back searching for a way to extend it out a little bit, and i came across a extended arm made by RC solutions so i got that, turns out its way too long that the XO-1 driveshaft only have a hair contact with the telescopic part, almost lost interest with the build that if i dont find a solution to this its going to end up in the MP, then one day i was at slash 4x4 forum (dont know who's post that was) talking about pro trac arms and tekno cvd's, cleaver guy by the name of thedreadedend explain it clearly to me.

Wow, that beauty could have been owned by someone else? I feel its one of your top builds! Im glad you held on to it. Thanks for the props! Honestly, its cool to see a mod go to work around the forum. I got a handful of um out there that members see as useful. It just excites me to find a combo of parts that you never have to worry about!

your absolutely right, sometimes experimenting can be a good thing and it pays off at the end. i have to agree....this is my very top build by far along with my XO-1 GT8 i never thought of being able to do all this build and all but i have to say....its been very fun.

Did you build your front end defuser to stop the car from back flipping? I was trying to top mine out tonight but I kept doing backflips which, I think were caused by the air underneath the body. It looks cool seeing it backflip at top speed, but those times it doesn't make it all the way are pretty harsh on it.

i think my homemade front diffuser helps from lifting the front end and stiff springs at the rear helps alot too and trim the wing atleast half so that theres not much drag.

alright guys, i've been given this alot of thought on how i'm going to mount the XO-1 deffuser and finally i got it all figured out. another fellow by the name of OGlalerat from slash 4x4 forum had successfully mounted his XO-1 difffuser.
    here are some pictures.

need to shave this part to give it a good flush at the bottom of the chassis,

    mounting tab remove

this is how it looks like joint together

front diffuser mounted upside down to line up straight due to the angle of the bulkhead,

trim litle by little all three bumper post so that the diffuser not pointing down,

    bottom view

    top view

i did'nt get it on pic but at the rear diffuser you have to shave the part where the arms touches the diffuser that way its not binding. if you look at the bottom view you can see 2 holes.

all i need to do now is get it secured with an L shape so that i can screw them on the side of the chassis and to the diffuser.
    thanks all.

i compared it with my XO-1 GT8 (both fully loaded with 4s lipo) by picking it up and i have to say my Rally GT8 is much lighter.

alright....i'm done shaving off of all the bindings with the arms, now i can finally run this tomorrow. i'm going to run my DP8 body, its the perfect body for speed passes. i'm having trouble fitting my PF8 body at the front unless i take the front splitter's completely off. whats great about the DP8 is that it fits perfectly with the XO-1 bumper without any shaving off.

HOLY SMOKES!!! THAT LOOKS GREAT!!! I love what you did with the diffuser and the front splitter. That's why I originally asked OGlalerat to see the bottom of his car. Nice to show the details. I'll bet it has some GRIP!!! Great work!

thanks AB, it sure is stick on the ground and the DP8 body design it even stay planted on the ground it put quite a bit of heat on the motor with few passes but hey i know my limits lol. i might have to buy more XO diffuser just incase anything happen, who knows....i might start selling them this way to any Rally GT8 owners LOL.

i could'nt help myself, i swap out my MMM/2200 out of my XO-1 GT8, did'nt like how the temp on my Losi branded MMP/2800 its so hot to the point that if i touch the motor you let go right away, and thats only with 4 passes.

here it is now with 2200 again lol.

My AC6 charger finally gave up on me last week within a year used and so I order a (not so new) Passport UltraForce charger 200W and up to 10amps. this was a display charger from a LHS and save me few $$ for a new in the box

I had a LiPo go "POOF" and catch fire once, indoors! Luckily I was right there & got it outside. Now I only charge them outdoors. I have quite a few helicopter batts too, I store them at storage voltage in a steel Craftsman tool box.
A LiPo sack is a good investment too!
