    First Breakdown

We bought 1 slash for X-mas and then bought a 2nd a week later cause they are just that fun. So me and my 2 boys were out bashing today and we had our first breakdown. The one car was going about 20mph heading to our ramp and the other son ran his car in front of it right before it went up the ramp, and t-boned it snapping the rear stub axel carrier. So tomorrow we are on our way to the lhs to get a new one and probably pick up a velineon system for my slash.

And also just wanted to say thanks for all the great advise that you all put on here. I have been lurking and learning from you all for the past few months.

Welcome to the forums! If you have any questions, just ask. We're here to help! The Slash is a great truck to start with.

These trucks are a blast. I have one set up for just bashing and the abuse it takes is unreal.

The only question I have at the moment is, will the stock gearing be fine with the brushless system?

I use a 19t pinion on 2s on mine. Any faster (for an old man like me) and it gets out of control.

Replacing the titan xl-5 with the velineon system,is like taking out your slant six,and putting in a 440 magnum.
Hope your lhs isn't to far away?lol.

Sounds fun to me! Plus it was fun taking apart the broken area and explaining to my sons what the parts do. They enjoyed. + I enjoyed. = Family fun and Learning
