    Advanced Mode

Has anyone figured out how to make the radio stay in advanced mode? Every time we turn it on to fly the QR-1 it defaults to the basic mode but both my son and I prefer flying it in the advanced mode.

I believe that it is programmed to do that. I read somewhere that it won't stay in that mode

Manual, page 10, at top under "Normal and Expert Flight Modes"
The QR-1 is factory set for Normal Mode flying, and it will always power up in Normal Mode.

To those who may not realize, switching between Normal and Expert modes only takes a push of the elevator stick (in control mode 2 it's the right stick.) Maybe a minor inconvenience, but hardly lame.

Exactly as soon as you take off it is pretty obvious it is in Normal Mode and it only takes a push on the stick to switch to Expert mode.
