Hey, So i have my Rally set up to run on the local offroad track. Stock VXL-m and on 1800 2cell Lipo.
What would be the best gearing to run?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to tell what gearing will work for you... a thermometer.
A non-contact thermometer can be had at Harbor Freight for $10-15. Then you can gear according to the heat produced by your ESC and motor. There is no such thing as gearing that works for everyone.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
There must be a baseline to start with. I contacted Traxxas and they gave me the gearing chart... thanks anyways
Still be sure to check your temperatures!

Like jimmie said keep an eye on your temps. start with the stock gearing, if your temps are low then go for a faster gear and repeat untill your temps get to high

I always have my temp gun with me when I run my vehicles. I just wanted a baseline to go off of since i built this from a pile-o-parts. Thanks for the input
i run 31 tooth pinion, and 45 tooth spur gear. i run on parking lots only. i dont recommend that gearing since im on my second esc. but i like it.
im a compulsive up grader on my shelf ornaments.
so 28 pinion and 45 spur work good? not too many heating issues?
It may, it may not.
Only a temperature gun can really tell.
What works for someone else may not work for you.

I know this, you've repeated yourself on that, I was just wonder if anyone else ran that combo and their feedback... thanks tho
ok well I . Ordered a 45 and 50 spur, and 8 different pinions, ill get it figured out
200°F is the temp to avoid.
My person sweet spot is 180°F... for some that is too high and they feel 160°F is better.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
Yeah i dont like to run mine over 160... thanks tho
