Fully charged 2S LiPo: 8.4v
Fully charged stock battery: ~9v

Voltage is a direct correlation to speed... so with stock batteries you will go faster for the first few pulls of the trigger, then you will be going faster with LiPo as LiPo does not loose voltage as easily as NiMh.
Another thing with LiPo, it delivers the power faster... meaning you will get up to speed quicker.

I"m fully aware of how the batteries work. I was asking for real world experiences between them.

Fully charged stock battery: ~9v

just to confirm, I've tested this with my son and the nihm isn't even close to the lipo. lipo will flip the truck over easily if you don't control the throttle, nimh won't flip it even when just starting.
