Ive never run them but From what I understand and have seen posted many times is the only 17mm adaptor that will work right with MIPs are the MIP adaptors.

You have to use the mip ones. tried traxxas and aka adapters and they dont fit. sent them back.

But I have the old MIPs, the ones with the pins, do the 17mm adapters on MIPs website fit the old ones?

mip is Moores Ideal Products, they make the well known Hardened steel axles for the slash 4x4. i see you have the mamba monster, what axles are you running. this would be a great upgrade if you dont know what they are!

first if i were you i would send them to matt at mip, and he will give you the new ones that are 4x as strong and come with aluminum hexes for 50% off. IMO
and if you are running the old ones, i would use traxxas or AKA, i havent used the proline ones and havent seen them on anyones slash i dont recall. and no, the mips 17mm adapters will not work with the old ones. they are keyed for a specific fit. in other words they arent round, the stub axles have flat parts on them, then the adapter slide over the flat parts and that is what keeps it from rotating on the shaft

If you have the old MIP's with the pin the Proline adapter's do work. I used them for over a year, never broke an axle. Took them off as I needed to meet track rule's.
