Sorry no pics but i used a piece of foam out of a traxxas aluminum parts package cut to size and ca glued it to the chassis butted up next to the servo at the same height as the torque tube and then double sided tape d the esc to it. I also had to dremel some of the plastic brace for the torque tube so i could get proper gear mesh. Just do a test fit with your pinion and you'll see what i mean.

To fit the Esc, revome the mounting hole, chassis dremel is needed towards the end of the motor, driveshaft side.

Also, make sure the 1415 is level when you are done. This will ensure you have installed it correctly.

This is one of the most useful thing I bought, it's a shroud cover by Dusty Motor I bought on ebay.
The only thing is that I had to glue the velcro.

Just ordered one. I love the zipper. I was going to buy the outerwears, but this look so much better. Thanks for the info.

That looks thicker/tougher than the outerwears shroud I have... Looks like you have an easier access to the battery and esc since there's a zipper in the middle.

How well does it breathe? Do you have any heat issues when running the shroud cover?

The 2400kv motor with the MMP doesn't generate much heat and this shroud breath surprisingly well..
I can run non-stop with a 3s lipo and sand paw on the snow, which I think this can be as hard as riding in tall grass. With a 13t pinion, esc and motor temperature is 125°F and never goes up 145°F (outside temperature: 40°F)

I'm glad to know that I helped!
I'm a bit obsessive, everything must be perfect and bulletproof... But I can say that this shroud cover + the center driveshaft mod + the 1415 2400kv & MMP combo juste make my stampede perfect and bulletproof

I already have many ''must'' upgrade, inlcuding the bullet poof mips

The velineon of the stampede is 36mm diameter, 55mm long and the 1415 is the same diameter but 69.5mm long.

You are right, MIP is the no. 1 upgrade to do on a stampede. But the the list of upgrade to make a perfect RC would be endless...

I really like that HR motor mount and their trademark cooling fins. I have 3 on my 2wd trucks but not on my Rally or Sl4sh.
