    Question about summit chassis

I am wanting to know if anyone out there has ever cut a summit chassis in half down the middle from battery tray to battery tray. If so, does anyone have any photos of the chassis cut in half? I would like to see what the structure looks like on the inside.

mdlopez1 also cut and stretched his chassis for his Hummer mod. He might be able to help with your question.

I cut mine in half sorta. I did not split it directly, but along the battery boxes to conserve the strength of the plastic

im out of photos but I gutted one chassis (cut out the battery boxes), cut ott the end of the second chassis but left the battery boxes complete. Later I just slide the more complete chassis "into" the gutted chassis. Drilled a few holes and use 3mm nuts and bolts to hold them together. The hardest part was thinking in 3 dimensions when planning the off angle cuts.
