    slash 4x4 with 1/8 mamba monster question need answer quick

    i am looking at buying this traxxas slash 4x4 with the 2200kv mamba monster and esc for $200, is that worth the money or is that too much power? i need advice.

    Alsothat is the same motor on ur erbe and ur embe. U could have a backup or sell it for 200-250

    i am meeting this guy around 1pm tomorrow, i was gonna buy a slash 2wd for $80 and put a 2400kv castle creations in it but this is too sweet of a deal, im sold, im gonna buy it tomorrow, if anything i can sell the motor like you said and just have a slash 4x4 roller for free and make some money lol, thanks for your help chevy. and i was already gonna put big bore shocks and new tires on it anyway. any advice on that for racing(practicing) at the track?

    one more question chevy, what type of batteries should i run in this? and where do they go? there is only one spot for a battery and this is a dual battery...

    In the add it looks like it is 2 batteries. I would buy 2 2s lipos so while ur using one you can charge the other

    Only thing I see is the esc is mounted in the wrong location. The 4x4 slash chassis has mounting location for the Mamba monster esc where the stock esc mounts. You just need the castle mount for it and relocate the receiver box. Looks like a steal at $200.

    i am leaving to go meet this guy here soon, can you show me what esc mount i need and maybe a picture ponie? maybe a part number? i dont know what it looks like. i noticed that he had the esc in the wrong place lol. can i make this esc so that it only takes 1 battery?

    He must have taken that off an erbe to have dual plugs. You will have to cut the 2 wires and put one male plug on the end and throw away the conected 2 plug

    well the reciever box is going to have to move forward like shown in the picture, do i need anything special to do that?(move the reciever box to the front?)

    OK $350 I bought a slash with nice mods,but soon found the velineon system was bad. Stuff happens,hes a friend and does me a lot of favors,so oh well.Heck I paid $500 for that.

    Nothing special. Just mount it like in the pic. Use the same mounting screws.

    My reciever box is different that the one in that picture above, the wires come out at an angle not straight out of the front

    One more thing, am I ok running NImh batteries in this truck with the mamba monster? And do I have to restart or do anything to the esc if I wanted to put lipo batteries in there and run it?

    it all depends where you are driving. there are hundreds of combos of tires. especially for dirt tracks

    It's OK to run nimh's. You'll wanna get a castle link so you can check the esc settings. Just make sure low voltage cutoff is on when running lipos and off when running nimh's.
