My conversion is done and the new batteries are charging. Reading that this thing will overheat with the Rally body? Really

That is a new one!
lol
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
Yes its because of the shape of the body. The larger surface area absorbs more energy from the sun, resulting in hotter operating temperatures.
Sig edited for awesomeness. NC
My Rally is at LEAST 10deg hotter after the conversion from the slash. And that is just sitting on the shelf!
especially the Orange one!!
I would image if you're having Temp issues or stressing the motor as a slash, I can see you would have issues with the rally body on it. I havent heard of anyone having overheat conditions nor has anyone reported higher temps in the stock set up.
But, with the lower airflow design of the Rally I can see it happening....HOWEVER, there is more room inside the body for the air to circulate, keeping the motor and ESC from actually sufficating and overheating.
Let us know if you find this to be hogwash or fact, I'm curious and need to know if I should cut up my body before I finish my conversion.
"Red"
"Who wants a Rod that you cant Mod?!"
I added a rally body to my slash and the temps went from 110F to 175![]()
I like turtles.
add some custom vents to the body, decreases drag and cools much better
All I need now is to set a new lap record.
Any pics![]()
you could make a blower for it
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
