Just turned my stock left rear shock into something resembling a fish hook.
What would be a good sturdy replacement, that would keep it in the stock short coarse class?

i do that occasionally and generally bend it back. TiNi shafts seem to be pretty good at not doing that.

I did bend it back, and much to my surprise it didn't break, however its far from straight, and um sure ill be losing oil soon.
Just want something better, but still stock class.
I had fish hooks twice in the rear shocks!Bend the shafts back but they were not as strong anymore, nor straight. Replaced them with TiNi shafts. Although I've been bashing with the TiNi shafts only once, they seem stronger then the standard shafts. I had no problems bashing with them in the skate park - 6 - 10 feet jumps were no problem.

Ti-ni shafts definately the way to go - unless you really want to go to town and go 1/8th.

Shameless plug for my own slash blog herebut I talk about shock and other upgrades here if you are interested including a link to the infamous Dr Isotope's tutorial on 1/8th shocks.
You can of course skip my blog and go direct to the tutorial here.
Got the TRX shafts today, probably install them tomorrow.
Thanks for the info!
