    Another Droid owner ...

Yes, I know it has been said and re-said, but Droids aren't going anywhere, so here's hoping that if enough of us birds sing loud enough, Traxxas will hear. We need Link for Droid! Conversions aren't that hard, come on Traxxas!!

they have those, the problem is porting it to android. if they had originally made it bluetooth in the first place that would have been even better

Bluetooth technology currently would not support the distances you would want... Average maximum range is only about 35 feet...

I have an iPhone and I really wish they would have used BlueTooth.

Even with a blue tooth data connection the program would still need Android support.

I would love to see android support as well, i spend enough as it is on RC, I'm really not too keen on buying an apple product i would otherwise have zero use for.

Yes it would i am just saying Bluetooth would be better because then there isn't a single plug designed for a specific os

Everone it is what it is. Traxxas choice of making the TQI Apple only, I bet had alot more to do with port type, port location and device size. I have an Android, I love it but no two are alike. IT would be near impossible to make a mouting / port system that could work with the plethora of Android devices out there.

That all being said I do not beleive the Iphone 5 will work work with the TQI. Just do what I did, but an Ipod. An used compatable Ipod touch can be had for not alot of money. My neice got a used 4th gen for $80, 2nd and 3rd can be had for a bit less. I bought a new 4th gen myself. I will say its nice to always have a fully charged device ready to go for my TQI, that doesn't tie up my phone.

For those who say "I don't need/want an apple product", Some useful apps are only on certain system. It doesn't hurt to have one of each. My Subaru car stereo only docks with Apple.
    Pay It Forward.

if they did make an android app it would be awesome for those of us that have droids but instead of having just a single stationary port why not have a short cable like a 4inch cable so that it can accomodate the different variations of the droid phone and plug locations?

lol just buy an ipod for 75 bucks and call it good. i held out on buying an apple product until the 4s and i wish i wouldnt have waited so long. i know people dont like apple but for the features u get over say the spektrum d3s, or whatever model has the screen, id say its worth it. IMO having a usb with different plugs would make sense but im sure they have a contract with apple so i dont see anything happening anytime soon but u never know with the i5 having a different plug maybe its already in the works.

I'm very anti I-anything, and I have the Traxxas Slash Ultra. Like mentioned, a short cable/dongle with a standard micro USB would solve it in a simple way. Please, please.... give up on the I-junk! In the meanwhile, I borrow my son's iPod for my transmitter, otherwise I have to buy an aftermarket transmitter.

I am sure the 30pin to lightning adapter made from apple will work with the iPhone 5 on the tqi. Someone emailed traxxas and said the tqi will work with iPhone 5
