Heatsink and Fan for Velenion motor.

I am wanting to buy a heat sink and fan for my stock motor and trans setup. Not sayin that I need it, I just want it to make sure I treat everything as well as can be treated. But I see tha traxxas doesnt make a heatsink or fan setup for the motor, just the ESC. What parts will fit over the motor with a fan on it?

I think Integy makes one, but dont quote me.
Best thing is to watch your gearing and check temp. You might not even need one. JMHO.

Or I think I saw one on the Hot Bodies website.

They say around 160 degrees, than tell you not to burn your self.
You'd have to have some reel girly hands,to burn your self at 160 deg,but um sure that's there safety temp?
I know Ive had mine far over 160, not saying its a good thing, just saying.
But listen to trashyrich, and take note your running conditions. Running to hot, smaller pinion.

PS. No Offense on the girly hand comment.

I have an integy heat sink with fan and love it, use a little thermal paste and it really helps keep those temps down!

I have an integy heat sink and fan, along with an esc fan. Works like a charm. I bought a Novak y harness to run both off the esc plug since I'm in water a lot. It's easier t just unplug them when you get wet instead of unplugging it from the rx.

Carlozmrc does a couple videos on how to plug in a esc fan and motor fan. I have a esc fan and I am going to order a integy heatsink and fan for my slash with the Novak harness so I can keep everything easy and simple, no wiring to do just plug and play

I believe the fan is for the ESC, heatsink is for the motor. Try going to YouTube and searching it. There will be tons of videos.
But you could get crazy and put the fan on the heatsink.
I have actually seen a guy watercool his motor. Cant remember where I saw that.

There is a water cooled slash on this forum actually! The threads around here somewhere. Anyways it's not uncommon to see a fan on a heat sink on the Vxl. Like I said before look up carlozmrc on youtube. He has a vid on how to run a fan on a Vxl esc and motor on a 4x4 slash but its still a slash so you could make it work on a 2wd.

    Edit: here it is! http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...r-cooled-slash
