I'm on my mission to 100mph with an e-jato. How do I get a motor mount(do I have to make my own?) and any other things I will need. Thx

What motor-Esc batts do you plan to run.
EMAXX-FLM, Summit 1/10, HPI Savage Flux XL.
Mamba monster 2200 and the esc from erbe, forgot what it's called and some maxamp lipos (not sure what mah)

Some people made the motor mount with an emaxx motor plate, I made mine from a rc8 motor mount, locked the tranny on second speed, and ran a MMP-3800 on 3s. A MMM-2200 will be hard to fit, but not impossible.

How would you lock the diff

Drill one or two holes close to the edge without touching the internal gears, insert a pin, and if you want but not necessary fill out with jb weld.
the pic is not mine, I just google it, but that's what I did.

Slash PE & Ja-two.
Yeah that's the motor plate I used, but I disagree with single speed conversion, they don't work good speed wise.

K thx guys

do you have to drill and pin it or can you just fill the area with jb weld and it be ok?
Probably you can get it done with the jb weld alone.

does anybody know where to find a video of somebody actually pinning the second gear or am i gonna have to figure out where to pin it my self?
Hello,
here is one topic I made concerning the tranny conversion: http://brushlessmania.forumpro.fr/t4...sion-du-e-jato
it is in french but pics are clear enough to understand, or you can translate it with one online translator.
salut

One more word:
on my last conversions (for my son and some friends), I used epoxy instead of syntofer/"cold welding". With 3 weeks of curing, it becomes extra strong with just enough elasticity, that "cold welding" hasn't got![]()

what kind of epoxy is it? but does it matter if it is either cold welding or epoxy is used.
as said, cold welding is not flexible, a slow epoxy remain with a little elasticity.
I already broke a cold welding 2nd speed locking (after 3 years of intensive use), but never with slow epoxy (on 2 jato used intensively for 3 or for years)...
the fact is that with slow epoxy and the big gap to fill in, it takes about 3 weeks to cure correctly at 15°C
