Losi 3.4 carb on 3.3

Just put on new Losi 3.4 carb. Wow! What a difference. Easy adjustability. Idles like a dream. And it screams! No off idle bog..
I just ordered another one up for the 3.3 in my Tmaxx.

Go to ebay and type in losi 3.4 carberator. Couple different sellers have them

Yea. Quite a bit. Little bit more top end. But i really noticed it down low an in the mid range. It was keeping up with Hyper today.
I cant wait to get one for my Tmaxx cuz its quite a bit lighter then my revo. For around $30 or $40, u cant beat that a performance up grade.
Easy to tune an idled like a dream. An very snappy. Im really happy with it.

Ok cool well I'm building a performance 3.3 for my bashing edtion Tmaxx and I want the most power I can get out of a 3.3 you might want to look at the thread but idk lol

For bashing i really dont care how fast it goes. I want that low end power an some good mid range. And snappy throttle response. With the losi carb, u will have to sand down a little bit of the throttle horn it wont fit in the revo linkage. Pretty easy tho. If u gotta a dremel
it take about 30 seconds. Good luck with ur build. It looked pretty cool.

The RB TM523 carb is another good swap & is meant to be better than the Losi carb but its pretty hard to find 1, also the O.S 11k carb off the O.S 21tm engine is meant to be real good on the 3.3 as well, they both cost more than the Losi carb though, They both meant to have a bigger throat size & give better performance. There is a thread in the Slayer section on this forum with some good info on the carbs.

Thanks man, well I couldn't find the rb carb anywhere so maybe ill get the os .21 carb or the losi

The o.s carb is up around $80 or something like that on ebay, the Losi carb may not be quite as good but is cheaper at around $40 & is still meant to do a pretty good job.

can i use that 3.4 losi carb on my 2.5 tmaxx?

Not sure if the 18 & 21tm have the same carb, you would have to check somewhere or see if someone who has the 18tm can tell you if it has the 11k carb. I think the losi carb should fit the 2.5 as the 2.5 & 3.3 use the same carb from what I have read. Pretty much the same engine apart from internal changes.

Yep the .18 and the .21 are the same carb!!!!! I got me a new carb

What i did with my old carb on my maxx i just pulled it out put black RVT around the outside of the throat of the carb, not thick just a light coat an then i put some around the nut that tightens the carb down. Seemed to work. But now i have the losi 3.4 carb in that truck now also

i didnt do the same with the losi carb. i did RVT around the crunch nut tho.

You don't have to seal anything, its just a precaution to help stop any air leaks from happening.

alright and what do you recommend putting on the throat of the carb for a precautionary step towards air leaks?

Black RVT silicone. A lite coat is all u need. I seal all my motors
