Im running 36t spur and 19t pinion, if i was using a 40t spur, i couldnt fit a pinion bigger then 15t. i dont know if thats just me.
Its also MOD1

18/54 on 4s mod .8. Only goes 40-45mph. Thinking about gearing the mark II e slayer at at least 23/54. Should get up in the 50-55+ range then. Oh, and I'm using an e revo transmission.

18T/54T is wat i used on my E-Revo, I thought the gearing would have to be different since the Slayer has smaller wheels. Dose anything overheat with that gearing setup?

25/54 was way under geared for me. Motor temps in the 110 range, full throttle was un impressive. Brian G speed calculator puts it at about 38.
Just moved to mod 1 20/38. Calc puts it at 46. Will see how that feels later this week.

i have mine geared at 20t/34t mod1 and i can still gear it up to 22t pinion before i cant mesh anymore lol. incase you know my 34t made by HR, traxxas stop at 36t.
