The worlds fastest 1/10th Traxxas car...

...and its an electric 4-Tec!!...



I built this car a while ago...figured I would share it here...

I began with a factory Traxxas 4-tec and added a few off the shelf mods to make the car a bit faster than the rest...
...after initial testing with a brushed setup(35mph) i quickly noticed i was opening Pandora's box and installing every part that came in it! Within a few days the new parts began finding their way onto the car and with each testing session the "little 4-tec that could" became more and more like "the little 4-tec that WOULD!" ...here's a basic rundown on the setup:

CF chassis
7700kv BL motor (Mamba - added Mar-23-2009)
Mamba Max ESC(addded Mar-25-2009)
3000mah 4s1p LiPo
43p/75s gearing
Futaba GY401 Gyro
Futaba 3PM FASST radio
Castle Creations 10A BEC

....(Current Radar speed as of 4/05/09 - 111mph)....
....Unofficial Best speed on Radar as of 7/01/11 - 124mph

My plans are to build the car to a competitive level for the ISC (International Speed Challenge) and hopefully get a crack at a record!..

There are some rustler's that go a 100mph++ and they are 1/10 scale

I went 124 radar verified.....and I KNOW i can get faster with more room too..

....and by the looks of that video I dont see 114mph....kph maybe...lol...but hey...im not here to argue his speed...I know mine hit 124mph....and on 4s....I actually stopped using the GPS due to damage that caused it to have spikes like that every run...it was annoying...the radar is much more consistent and i trust it more....plus it is more difficult to get a high speed on radar than GPS due to the sample point being stationary.....either way....now I have a speed trap(DTS-1)...I may use that as well as radar to get a new best soon!...i would like to see 135-140mph on 4s

That's insane, most people are giddy doing over 50mph let alone 100!

there are rustlers that hit over 100mph but your project is really cool. and im very interested it what more it can do. so keep up the good work.
