    Question how to mt slash

i was wondering if anyone did a write up on the MT slash builds. i tried searching but couldnt find any. i know alot of people start with a pede and lower it but i was wondering if you can take a slash 4x4 and just put bigger tires on it and have the same thing or if their is more to it. if someone has a link or knows how to do it i would appreciate it.

In the 4x4 section there is a large thread about it. On my 2wd I used bigger tires and dropped the gear down to a 19t and either trim or change bodies. http://www.prolineracing.com/blog/su...ze-your-slash/

there are alot of slash mt builds, you just have to look research a little better instead of "mt slash". For the most part, the "have-to's" to build a slash mt are" larger tires, larger shocks (emaxx stock shocks widely recommended), and low gearing.

The easiest way would be to do a shock cap mod to the stock length shocks, lower the gear and put some stampede or better yet, some 2.2 rock crawler wheels and tires. They will be in the 5" tall range. Again lower gearing and expect to break parts.

Shocks in inner arm holes, new body to accommodate larger tires, and of course larger tires.

The cleanest way for new tires is some wide offset 1/8 buggy tires and some 18mm hex adapters.

My old slash I ran these 2.2 proline crawler badlands. They are a soft tire, but will hold up to 2s lipo fine.

Ran them on rpm revolver wide offset 2.2 rims. Direct bold on to stock hex.

    Seems pretty easy to me

Put suspension highest it will go (then tune it)
    Put big wheels on
    gear down
    different body

No need to overthink it. Jack the suspension up as high as it goes, get the traxxas extended body mounts for the Monster Jam Stampede to raise your body, put on larger tires, gear down, and drive.
These are Proline Moabs on Axial 2.2 beadlocks and the stock Raptor body.
