Why would they put a bearing on one side and a bushing on the other?
Nice to have spare merv parts! Merv steering post bearings are the same size

now that i'm not sure why they would do that i took mine off and wondered why put bushings in there but then again the merv and e revos have the same thing on their steering posts bushings they leave for you to do the upgrades like that using bushings. i know in my merv when i put those bearings there it helped better, what size are the bearings for that do you know since yo uahve it off? i have some bearings laying around that i might be able to use if i know the size.

so what oil WT did you end up using? you gave me an idea there about using a box for the shock to sit on when i do mine.

now question when filling shocks and let them sit like that. do you fully extend the shock shaft then fill and let sit?

I ended up using 80wt with white springs
Once I work the shafts I extend them let them sit for 30 minutes then fill them 1.5 mm from the top

So your talking about the Merv right pinions don't fit? I have mine geared 21/65 and has both top end and low end get mix up. Gibe that a try.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with a scratched up bumper I have the rpm on it but it wasn't too scratched till i got it

hey 50togo i see your installing the Robinson Racing Ring and pinion into the diff how much stronger are they than stock ring and pinion without shims?

back in the day with the big block t maxx i used to run robinson racing ring and pinions and they held up pretty good i am sure they are made of better material than stock . i haven't ran them enough on my revo or e maxx to see how they hols up yet but i made a few 6s runs with no problems. i would say strength wise so far so good

did you get the center skid rpm? mine has a few scratches mainly from me rock crawling lol but also when i was offroading over tree stumps.
I see the watch right there on the side timing your self to see how fast you can install the upgrades? i have to admit i did that a few times like when i took off the motor to change the spur gear and resolder a wire took longer than i thought it would and also when i shimmed and replaced my merv diffs that was even longer than i expected. so i stopped timing myself for that reason.
man i like when the emaxx is brand new like ashame it wont last long

The diffs are all shimmed - rrp8090 in the rear and summit axles installed and shimmed and rpm shock towers off my t maxx.have it geared 21/65 tomorrow will do an alignment with the rpm camber and toe tools!

21/65 will be a good gearing to use overall at least mine is with the combo I am using on 4s keeps cool all day. Are you going to post vids up with all these upgrades?

whoa now that is alot of weights never have to buy any for years and years to come atleast now you know you have plenty if you need it for something else other than rc

It is hard to get vids when you have no hands free, no problem if you can only i know spending time with your kids is the best thing instead of taking vids have fun you 2 but not too much where you make the rest of us enivous lol

ooh yeah i dont like the phillip screws either but stock hex screw stink as well i wouldnt mind getting some from hex screws i think thats what its called the place they make better. its always nice to have new parts.

yeah they have tons of HP but with your 9000kv merv you should keep up lol atleast on take off but not on top end j/k

The rear diff lasted on ride! Revo's too
