lipo batteries ?

Hey i was wanting to get a brushless system for christmas maybe hobbywing but i was wondering how lipo batteries work. I want to get 40-45 mph do i need 4s,5s,or 6s to do that. And when people say 6s that is two 6s batteries run in parallel or series? or is it two 3s run in parallel or series? Any help would be appreciated

40-45 mph where? On-road or off-road?
I run 21/62 gearing on 4S (two 2S in series) and that's good for 40-45 mph on or off road.
6S in an E-Revo is generally two 3S packs in series.

with the 5608 the 2s is wired in series so you end up with 4s. with 20/54 gearing you will break 40 mph

stick with 4s until you upgrade some parts and try to stay away from backflips very hard on the diffs! on 4s you can wheelie from a roll !

you can get backflips but it is harder than with 2/3s. 2/2s is still plenty of power to start with...

I'm running 6s and first time I drove it I did a backflip from about 20 mph, but I also break something everytime I drive it. I'm getting 4s, its plenty fast with those
