    Jack's Funny Car....

Just wanted to start a thread to chronicle my cars progress....

I was able to run a 2.44@66mph .....this is still with no track prep...but its pretty dialed in for the unprepped concrete. wheelie bar got a workout ...haha!

This was with 60% LC power .......I believe she has a 2.2 in her at over 70mph!.....just need some solid track prep and suspension tuning.

Today I ran to the hobby shop and picked up the Telemetry sensors to monitor the car from the Traxxas Link software.....truly nice feature with the TQI/Docking base.

    RPM/Speed sensor:

    Voltage tap:

    Motor temperature sensor:

I love the look if the body with the selective decal removal.

Part of me want to buy a display chassis and a body for the toy shelf.

I like the look of the body without so many decals on it. Looks way better. I want to grab a different body for mine, but the price of them are rediculous! I may just borrow your idea and take some of the clutter off of mine (Courtney Force) and see how it looks all cleaned up like yours. I didnt get a whole bunch of time to dial my car in before the weather got bad, but i did hit 55mph with the stock gearing. The Funny Car is way easier to control at high speed than it is at low speeds, my xo-1 was the same way. I cant wait til theres dry pavement here again. Car looks really good man, and you got ET's like a bullet! Nice work!

What are you planning to use for traction compound? Real stuff or something like coke or grape juice?

Started playing with traction compounds (VHT) and turned down the LC power to get some clean runs....so far so good!...backed up my previous best with a new personal best:

Finally tried prepping a large part of the track.......this gave unbelievable traction but killed the mph...haha....the car was literally GLUED to the ground. But the end result speaks for itself! Almost achieved my goal time for this car. A little more and shes a solid 2.2 car!....officially a 2.3 at this time.

Awesome times mate! - I should really get mine out - yet to even run it - weathers just been too hot here... what sensor parts do you need to get the tqi running 100%?.

Are you going to be getting the side pipes for her?

Looks like she's had a few tumbles too?

All that is missing is the nitro smell, sound and flames coming out of the exhaust.... Is there an up grade for that? LOL
