    Unhappy Im upset

    well i was sold on the onyx 245 dual lipo charger, but i soon found out it can only charge uo to 3s lipo. Im going to be getting 4s lipos so this charger wont be good for me. So now im looking at chargers again. I need one that can charge up to 4s and possibly be a dual one, but it doesnt have to be, but a dual would be better. I already have a dynamite pass port ultra sport that does great, maybe just get another one of those, but what other charger should i look at? that can hold up to 4s and charge 2 batteries at once?

    Somehow four $50 battery cookers in one box is not a comforting thought to me.

    You still have only a 50-Watt limit per channel.
    4S = 12.6V max.
    50W/12.6V = 3.97A charge rate max. Is a 4-Amp charge rate enough for you?

    You might want to look into getting a Hyperion charger! You will love the quality and power!

    I believe it was the ac680 I sent that back for refund. And then took the hour drive to a not so close LHS and picked up a Hyperion. I thinks it's been over a year now and no problems and charges great!

    Thunder Power makes very good chargers.

    They are not to be confused with battery cookers from Thunder like the AC6 and AC680.

    Why does the balance plugs on the 245 go up to a 6s if it can only charge up to a 3s?

    So they don't have to make others. There 235 goes up to at least 4s and they don't want to make new ones.
    I'm not completely sure but most other chargers don't come with balence boards so duratrax has some. They are fairly well known for there chargers, bieng cheaper than others and provide a bit more and are well trusted in the industry of rc

    That bieng said many know that they have those balence boards and they know you can buy them directly from them so long story short they make a little extra cash

    Correction, I have a 235 and the balance goes to 6S..
    I think it's because you can take the balance board and plug it into a different charger that's actually capable of charging 6S batteries. I like my 235, does what I need it to do.

    OP: whatever you do, don't get rid of that balance board! It just might come in handy some day.

    I was talking about the 235"s capabilities not the balence boards. All there chargers have 6s balence boards

    I bought an Icharger. This charger rocks. I haven't maxed it out yet. Also, don't get caught up into charging past 2c. I find the pack doesn't absorb the charge as much compared to 1c charging. This charger [iCharger 3010B] also needs a huge power supply if you want use it full ability. I think there is a smaller version of this charger you could look at.
