I replaced a couple of worn out plastic hex hubs with Traxxas aluminum hubs (No. 1654x) and for the life of me, I cannot get a single one to snap/seat correctly. Has anyone else had this problem? Thoughts?

... I should also mention that yes, hub is aligned with steel pin and the pin itself sits in the groove, but will not snap.
Sometimes they are so tight that you have to put the wheel nut on before it will snap inside.

The aluminum hexes will not snap like the plastic, tighten them down and go tear up the dirt lol....
Fair enough. Thanks, gents.
Not to kick you while you are down but throw those in the trash and get different ones. STRC makes some nice ones that slide over the pin the tighten down with a grub screw. Personally speaking of course but I already have enough to worry about without adding having to watch for pins falling in the dirt when I pull the tires off. The engineer of this part needs to be taken out back for a round or two and then promptly shot!
