    Best 2s LiPo!?!?!

What is a good 2s lipo for me? I mostly go off road with my stampede and sometimes do street runs... I have stock gearing and mip cvds too.

I currently run the duratrax DTXC2177 8.4v batteries and would like a little more power/faster... but not 3s type of power since I find it to be to much power for such a truck.

Also if i get a 2s that has 8.4v does that pretty much mean that i will get about the same speed as my 8.4v nihm batteries i currently use?

What does the c rating accomplish?

    Any advice?

Lipos contain cells that are 3.7v though they are typically charged to 4.2v. 2s battery is 7.4v and 3s 11.1v, at full charge they would be 8.4v and 12.6v.

There are many brands that you will see recommended on here a short list of them are:
    SPC http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=59
    Gens Ace http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-30c-53...se-direct.html
    Sky Lipo http://www.hobbypartz.com/77p-sl5000-2s1p-40c-2222.html
    GForce http://www.valuehobby.com/power-syst...hard-case.html

I've used Venom, Sky Lipo and Gens Ace and have not had any issues. The ones above are much better value than venom batteries.

The higher the c rating the more the battery can discharge and the more amps available to the motor/esc
I'm sure someone will chime in with the formula, I've seen it in other threads and don't remember it offhand.

A 2s battery will have similar performance as the 8.4v ni-mh but the power will last longer and will not slow down like a ni-mh battery.

From what I have experienced a 2s seems faster with the same setup as a ni-mh battery.

Do you already have a lipo capable charger? You need a charger thats capable of balance charging lipo batteries, you can't just charge lipos on any old charger.

This battery is too long to fit in a stampede 4x4.

    L: 142 mm

H: 23 or 25 mm depending on the position of the stock included hold down. Each side of the strap is labeled so you can see which orientation gives you 23 and 25mm.

Yes I see that they are more expensive but i always see alot of people recommending venom! Maybe ill get this one off of ebay and see how it works out for me. Is there anything else i need to know for running lipos.. I know i need the Traxxas 3725X and maybe a lipo bag? and when not using my lipos for more than a day the storage voltage is what like around 3-4?

For a stampede 4x4 you need TRA6727x. The one you listed is for the stampede 2wd.
Lipo bag is for storage and charging it in.
    Storage is 3.8v per cell.

Check sizes of lipos you may buy. The venom you linked is: Dimensions: 149x47x43mm
Stampede 4x4 battery tray is 142x48.5 and the height changes with the extended hold down kit

I would go for the highest c rating within your price range. I have a 5400mah 3s 20c venom and it is slightly puffy because it can't supply enough power for my setup.

SPC and Promatch are some of the best lipos IMO.Both have great customer service.I run SPC 2s 6000mah and get a good 45min. of run time.

The spc 3s 8200 30c linked above is a killer value. Maybe the best in the 8000 mah range? Any better values?

Get the spc 3s 8200 30c awesome lipo, i run it in my stampede 4x4, U can squeeze the battery in the tray and get the battery expansion kit or if u dont wanna squeeze it in, u can dremel the battery compartment by like a mm. I run it with Mamba max pro with 2400kv motor from castle and it is beast

If you do get venom get yourself or your LHS to solder on a normal trx connector because the venom version is very hard to unplug
