So I picked up a 30th anniversary Digger...

Hey guys,

I recently picked up a 30th anniversary Digger (as the title suggests lol) and I was curious which upgrades you guys would recommend. So far the only mods I have done to it is added the adjustable traxxas wheelie bar (green) and a set of Proline Desperado wheels and Trencher tires and some aluminum shock caps. In all honestly I am satisfied how this thing performs out of the box. This is my first Traxxas vehicle, but I do have a clodbuster and have had other nitro powered vehicles.

Aluminum caster blocks.
Traxxas part number 3632A, 3632X, or 3632G (probably the G ones because they are green and it's a Digger, or other aftermarket alu casters.

5x11x4 bearings for the axle carriers.

For aluminum parts I would go with caster blocks, steering blocks, and axle hubs
Ball bearings +1
Lipo
Brushless system/HD driveshafts

Idk O.G. If I got one of these I would put a castle in it

I say in this order..

1. Basher body so you don't scratch up the 30th digger one

2. Ball bearings

3. Castor blocks IN GREEN !!

4. Lipo and castle creations mmp and 3800 motor OR 2400

The aformentioned ball bearings, 19-tooth pinion and 86-tooth spur, wheelie bar (which you already have), and VXL-3s 3500 motor/ESC combo make my Digger HAUL, even with the stock battery. Anything else is pretty much "fix it as it breaks," in my opinion (refer to others' opinions if you'd rather jump into LiPo). A different radio/receiver is useful if you're like me and don't want to bother with the antennas.

I gotta say, I love the Stampede for its simplicity and how much it can take fresh out of the box. A great starter model for those who are considering giving Traxxas a whirl (I know it has nothing to do with this thread, but I had to find somewhere to say it. :P )!

Mod it as you wish, save all the O.E. stock parts, It can always be change back to stock. Plus O.E. stock parts won't be beat up. +1 on don't use the 30 anniversary body. Get a second body for bashing. Just an idea...

I am going to get another body for it but I have to be honest..this thing is sweet with the leds in the headlights and on the sides right out of the box. Really sets the truck off in my opinon. @CandyCaner this truck came with the 2.4ghz system so ther are no antennas to deal with

ok so if it has the 2.4ghz radio and all hex drive screws ,adjustible links then it should have all around bearings

a 16t pinion
