Word of advice for you. The big hill in the middle is a bad idea. It will block your view of whatever is on the other side.
Unless he plans to control from there.

The big hill or table top, is only going to b about 3 feet tall at most and maybe 3-4 feet wide.. I can always make a drivers stand if needed.

That was the story of my life for the first year that we started our track. Felt like prison labor at times. Put a pile of dirt here, then go move it to there the next day.Track design definitely takes some trial and error before you get it to where it works right. What looks good on paper or in your head doesn't always work so well when you actually try running on it. But eventually it will all start to gel together.
Can't wait to see it when you start building!
I might move the big table top to the far left where I have the mini table top and put the mini table top where the big table top is at now, get all that?? lol..
I know it will take some trial and error, most likely more error than trail but eventually it will all come out good, I hope.
