Somehow I end up breaking the plastic peice where it attaches to the differential
I've heard the summit ones do not break, should i go that route, keep replacing stock ones, or buy a CVD?

I would say upgrade to Summit Drive Shatfs. Make sure you look at an Exploded View and get all the necessary pieces. I dont know if you will need different yokes to attach them. And make sure you get all Long Half Shafts.
They do break...just a little stronger than stock and a good upgrade. They are easier to replace too when they break.
I can't remember who mentioned this...you can re-use your broken shaft post #106, it will work as a temporary measure until you can replace it.
I would buy a complete set of summit shafts of eBay and a few sets of long shafts #5656...it will be far cheaper than building them from scratch.
I heard a lot of people complain about the steel CVD's as they tend to bend a quite a fair bit.

Rock n Rolla !
I found it...it took some time. I knew it came up not so long ago...post #11. Thanks 87GN...it worked like a treat as a temporary measure.
Rock n Rolla !
I run traxxas cvd's on my emaxx, and erevo, but I don't abuse my trucks so for me they work good.
EMAXX-FLM, Summit 1/10, HPI Savage Flux XL.
it stinks droken driveshafts.....but is does help save the diffs. can kind of think of it that way.......
& drilling not my idea^ just passing on info.....

Would you go flip my truck back over??
Ive switched to the traxxas ones. Every time I would run my truck I would break at least one, exactly were you do. I do not abuse my truck at all (yet...lol) small jumps and chasing my kids pede around. So far so good on the steel ones!
Who needs brakes!!!!
I have the mip shafts anf they seem to be good as long as you loc-tite the grub screws. And check them frequently.
They are pricey though.

I've broken 4 Driveshafts in my last 6 runs, I'm about to sell this truck and just buy a Heli.
one crash with that and you will be shopping for an erbe!
Stock shafts are nothing short of crap, I tried cvds and they bent way too easy with my rpm arms so I went summit shafts and 6 months on and a correct slipper later they are showing next to no wear, great shafts.

Rock n Rolla !
The summit shafts are way better if you like beating the revo. The cvds bend under big airs.

Yes I agree the cvds are no good for big jumps.I broke 3 of them.I just ordered a full set of summit shafts from ebay so I will see how they hold up.
I've broken 8 E-REVO shafts and 1 Summit shaft, and the Summit was while I was running on 6S ...
The 8 stock shafts I was running on 4S.
I bought a set of MIP that I still need to install on my ERBE.
Just remember to get some red loctite, which funny enough comes in a blue tube. At least the one I have did, you will also want a good set of hex wrenches cause that loctite doesn't play. Mine set in a few minutes and I can't get it loose now even if I want to.
