I have to push the trigger forward twice to engage reverse

I just upgraded my son's Grave Digger to Traxxas TQ 2.4ghz radio system. I have everything setup. I had to reverse the steering servo. The problem is that you have to move the trigger forward twice to get braking/reverse. I'm sure it is a programming issue, but I'm not having any luck figuring it out. I have searched the forums, but I can't seem to find anything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you adjusted throttle trim to try and compensate for it?

I did have to adjust throttle trim, but it didn't seem to help this particular issue.

I just noticed the radio forum. I copied my thread to there since it is probably more appropriate.

So this is correct. Once forward is brake, twice is reverse.

Yeah, with the amount of power some of these brushless combos can make, going straight to reverse after going forward could bust up some transmission gears. When you come out of going in reverse, the esc might delay the forward trigger input, also. If you want to do spin outs by turning the wheel and hitting reverse, youll want to hit the brake once. If you want to get a lot of speed and try a 720, you'll need to hit reverse twice
