Only our 2nd time out and son (7yo) broke an a-arm. RPM now installed with an extra set in the toolbox.

Realized I probably need to find some Shoo Goo and reinforce the body before we go out again.

Also realized that we either need to wait until the mud dries, or it's time to invest in an undertray/outerwear combo...

My son raced for the first time in the novice class. Destroyed swing arm in practice and a few times he hit the wall hard and the pa guy said try that with a losi. Rental transponder kept dislodging and one time forgot to put battery cover on lol. Great day spent with him.

RPM bumper didn't break, just sheared the screws off instead. haha

Good times ~ I'm tempted to drive up in the morning to wheel w/ you'll..I bet you could clear the double with ease if you were rippin' ur SSC chassis You're stil part of the family even though you crossed over to the darkside for some eye candy chassis, aka STRC

Mark's good people; I've learned a lot from him and we'll be wheelin' together at the GHR truck race in Green Cove Springs, FL next weekend. You should try to make it down if ya can

if it's not too late, might want to add a layer of fiberglass joint tape. That's been working great for me!

@Driveitlikeyoustoleit lol, it's not a matter of clearing it its a matter of landing normal like everyone else! First go round front flipped, next back flipped, then a couple of cart wheels lol! I should have been practicing all week! Yea, this was his first time seeing a STRC chassis, he had some pros and cons and talked a little about his new design his Pro4 is a beast though.. Makes me rethink my 2400CC!

Separately just got done cleaning and prepping for tomorrow's heats and mains! Wish me luck ill have pics and vids posted all day.. Probably start a thread for Phil Hurd Raceway or sumn..

Installed new speakers and Sub to drowned out that whine sound the steering makes. And now, here's something we hope you'll really like..... no wait, JK! I tried R/C a few years back with some used junk Nitro, a buggy and a truck. Hard a hard time starting the engine and lost control of the truck. It took off down the street. Luckily it got hungup in the neighbors lawn. So, trying it again... for myself and hopefully going to get my 13 year old son off the PS3.

Ordered a 5807L!!! It should arrive by Wednesday.

@rvrslt use photobucket copy the image link into the forum

Everyone else! Fun fact didn't know before but if u wash ur tires in simple green, wd40 and water, shake off excess then spray with simple green and let dry they are super sticky afterwards for your next race! Thanks to SSCMark who oh by the way is probably gonna take the Colonels classic Amain for the 4x4 open

Ran the slash 4x4 ultimate LCG (6807L) and a Rustler VXL at Thunder RC in Nashville last night for a few hours. No official racing, just friends racing and bashing for a few hours. The offroad track was in great condition though.

I had sc trenchers on the slash, and they hooked up pretty well. Running the course and jumps as intended was no problem. It has a MMP/2800kv combo in it. The LCG chassis was fantastic. Any slash 4x4 owner should spend the $70-$100 to upgrade to an LCG chassis, traxxas version or not.

Ironically, the tires I had that worked the best were pro-line badlands. I had them on the rustler, and they beat my pro-line bowties easily. I guess it was just because the track was a little damp an well-swept.

Anyways, just wanted to share the fun times. Sorry I don't have any photos. We beat the crap out of those trucks, and only broke a few small things (thanks to aluminum and RPM).

Lost a shock piece that is at the bottom of the spring but a guy showed me a old trick. Will post once it's done.
