They are Traxxas XO-1 axles. They come off of the 100mph traxxas super car.
    $70 for 4 axles, $57 for the c-hubs and bearing carriers, $22 for the 17mm xo-1 adapters.
    Purchased from dollarhobbyz on eBay.

I received the traxxas 12mm aluminum hubs for the xo-1 axles today, so I can put my 2.8 trenchers back on.

Will the axles fit on a stock slash without bying new xo-1 parts for it?

Nope, you would have to buy slash 4x4 cvd axles stubs to use the take off xo-1 axles. Not sure how much the axle stubs cost.
Traxxas sells the same axles ready to bolt onto a slash 4x4 but they are $150 for the set.
I opted for the xo-1 setup since for a little over $150 I get axles, the aluminum c-hubs, bearing carriers with new bearings, and the aluminum 12mm hexes.
The 17mm adapters were ordered by mistake, I decided to order them in the future and thought I removed them from the cart.
I will be using them since I have plenty of 17mm 1/8 scale buggy wheels.

    Installed the 12mm Hexes,

It comes with a drill bit to make the holes in the wheels larger to clear the end of the axle that sticks out past the hex.

My beat up body with the new axles and other parts,

    A lot

I finished my LCG conversion, a lot more time consuming than I anticipated! All in all, went smooth looks good, time to tweek lots.

Got the Traxxas Velineon Heat Sink installed when moving the motor, should help keep things cool.

Shortly after I got the LCG running I crashed into a pole, destroyed one of my original Ultra Shocks, so took that as an unplanned opportunity to upgrade to the Proline Power Strokes.

Also grabbed a set of S1 tires, much improved over the stocks in my opinion.

    That's it for today...

I have the Platinum 4x4 which has the aluminum hubs and carriers, would I only need to order the XO-1 axles?

You would need the xo-1 front steering blocks and rear bearing carriers since the axle stubs are 6mm and use larger bearings (slash has a 5mm axle stub), the c-hub you have is the same as the xo-1. Alternatively, you can use the xo-1 axles and change the stub axles to slash ones, but I'm not sure what those cost. If they are $10 each, then it would bring your axle cost to around $110.

I found the complete slash front ones on eBay,

Well last weekend i had some issues with a tire coming half way off of my Proline beadlocks, so I modified them a little along with taping the Trenchers and taking the red paint off of the beadlock rings. They were getting beat up so i figured they would look better this way, its a little harder to see the rash on them now .

I installed the King Headz aluminum motor mount for the LCG chassis with the larger bearings. Not that I had any problems with the stock plastic one yet but did it as a precaution.

Ran a battery pack through it and is working just fine....

I think they are Integy, which I wouldn't normally purchase but they came on a slash 2wd I got in a trade a week ago.

They seem to work fine and haven't fallen apart yet, my brother has a set on his slash 4x4, he bought his set maybe a month ago,

Went bashing with my backslash for the first time. It really flies great now, rotates faster while doing flips. I broke through the bottom of the chassis on one landing. Time to change the chassis.

This axle previously had a torn inner boot which resulted in a lost cross pin, all fixed now

The longer screws came in the other day and I was able to finish my anti losing tire project on the Proline Beadlock wheels.

All finished and ready to tear it up again

Oh Traxxas also warrantied out the ESC cooling fan. I bought one and 3 weeks later it stopped working, so I called them and a new one came in the mail. Thumbs up to Traxxas.

2 separate sudden stops caused this carnage

    Split the RPM control arm

Not too sure how this happened but it chewed the teeth up on this new spur gear

    and broke the flywheel

So I'm guessing it works similar to heat shrink? Or do you have to re-solder everything?

It expands when you push it together and gets smaller when you pull it apart, like a Chinese finger cuff.
The size I use goes right over the bullets and trx tabs and I use heat shrink on the ends to keep the ends from fraying apart since it is in a braided weave. You can melt the ends with a flame to keep it from fraying and un weaving, but heat shrink looks better
