Get with your BOSS rep and see about having a track made for the soldiers out there.. Really easy sell too... Especially if there's enough interest..

I knew this would happen before or later. I have already the RPM arm in stock!

Had to replace my pinion and spur gear. Went bashing for a few hours at a few different places and the last place was sandy and that is where the spur stripped.

Zepher I have had a few pinion gears look like that also, but only due to prolonged use...They look like a dirt bike sprocket that is well worn......

You wouldn't think a metal pinion gear matched up to a plastic gear could wear like that.

I haven't tried to prevent sand etc from getting in there but I don't run my 4x4 in the dirt that much, mostly on a clay indoor track. When I do run in dirt, as you did, I always pick up tiny rocks in there and as soon as I hear a/the ticking sound I stop and clean out where needed.

I wounder what the best way would be to seal up that area?

Changed out my rear half shafts for some new ones that I had laying around, made a running video of my electronics on the slash on 2s and 3s.. and preparing myself for hopefully a RX8 and Pro4 purchase.. Anywho Here's the running vid.. I wish they could tape tires off the top for you to take away the balloon effect..

Since I had no repairs to do, as usual I gave my 2wd Slash a nice run on our track... rained a little yesterday so track conditions were just about right.

My friend gave me the loom, and I haven't had a chance to talk to him in a week, I need to get some more.

Tonight I cut slits in the chassis and and got some straps from an HPI Vorza to hold my battery in place, stock style hold down isn't tall enough.

To be prepered for the outdoor season I decided to mount the rear shocks behind the A-arms. The shocks, screws and screw holes would be better protected. I have also mounted some Losi MIP mud guards the protect the drive shafts.

On my TRCE chassis I also mounted towers in aluminum with two rows of adjustment holes to be able to get more droop. I also moved my losi scte shocks to my soon's STRC chassis and mounted SC10 shocks instead.

STRC chassis with Losi SCTE shocks:

Thanks! Have not tested it with the SC10 shocks and the shocks on the backside. The spring here in Sweden is really late but in some days I will test it.

The slicks are made by Swedish Edition, they sell it here http://www.kullagergrossisten.se/pro...oducts_id=6904 and here this link was blocked by the language filter. Please do not link to banned websites. I don't know if they ship outside Sweden?

Repainted my Slash, my bashing body.
I glued it on 12-15 places, removed all the old paint i could get off.
A lot of paint did come off while i was driving it.

All the blue tape will be removed.

Will have 2 small leds inside the car so it glows up in the dark! Easy to spot where it is!

I used wrong paint the first time.

I did learn it the hard way!

It was Black and Orange, now it is Yellow and Orange... oh well...

Ripped the dam Velineon out, put in 80A hobby wing ESC and 4000kv 4 pole motor in, kept stock gearing for now to watch temps but threw a 2S through it last night and there was no temp, looks like its going to be a good thing.
Noticeable difference in power curve, extremely responsive compared to velineon, and on bitumen it wants to wheel stand if you give it to much
Got to go throw the sway bar kit in and hit the dirt

    Catch yas

ordered rpm arms and replaced stock tires with some new duratrax tires that are very great, and alot cheaper than proline and aka

New tires are awsome and were a good deal at 22 a pair with wheels

here is the broke arm on both sides........

Was curious to see how fast my Slash would go in it's current setup - stock Velinion ESC and motor, Hot Racing 53t spur, stock pinion, un taped Louise Pioneer off road tyres - lots of ballooning, suspension setup for off road and jumping so not low at all Turningy ********** 3s battery.

Strapped my phone to my car and ran a GPS Speedo app. Drove up and down the street out front a few times until I got this.

I didn't take a picture before I took it apart,
But here is my brothers Slash 4x4, it is mostly disassembled,

    Ready to be cleaned,

Assembled with all the new RPM parts

    Motor and ESC,

    And mine next to his,

He also purchased a Proline True Scale Chevy Silverado body.

I also installed my MIPS X-Duty axles on mine and installed an STRC Gun Metal Motor Mount in my brothers this afternoon.

I am in the process of installing a MM and 2650 so I can go bashing tomorrow morning. I am hoping that the factory bumper I am installing lasts longer than the RPM, the last one lasted 5 minutes, the one before lasted longer but still broke a little easy.

I just finished my first go at painting. It's a Ford Raptor Hi Flow body from JConcepts. Really happy with how the fiery orange came out. Just looks awesome with the metallic flake in it when the sun bounces off it direct. Otherwise it has a great orange bronze kind of hue. Took alot of painting advice off this forum. Gave me the confidence to try. Had a great time can't wait to do more bodies.

Can't wait to race with it as well....
