Help on custom Slash 4x4 build needed!

Hello all, I'm getting back into the hobby after a long time away with a custom slash 4x4 build. I want it to be new parts, nothing used. The thing is I do not need the entire truck, just parts of it. So I am asking your advice on the best way and cheapest way to go about this.

    Parts needed are:
    1. The whole front end minus the bulkhead, shocks, wheels and tires
    2. The servo
    3. The rear gtr xxl shocks
    4. The entire slipper clutch assembly

    I could
    1. buy a slash 4x4 platinum take what I need and sell the rest
    2. piece together all the parts i need individually, which would be a pain because I have 0 experience with the truck
    3. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the brain storm, Spy

and you said you haven't run in a few years if your running an am system you may want to look into a 2.4ghz radio system
there is minimum interference with them they are about 30-40$ and trust me there worth it if you dont have one already

Sweet I think u convinced me to piece I together.
I think I'm going to try my old radio to get started a futaba PCM from back in the 90's they were top of the line back then when I was racing.

Now another question if I need the front end to be bullitproof?
    Any reccomendations?

    Thanks spy

My truck has been run heavily for a year and a half now. The only things I've done to it are RPM a-arms, Big Bore shocks, and a bearing adapter (6893X). It's pretty much indestructible.

yeah i agree^ and be careful with your transmitter cause they have interference problems if your running at a track
