found a new set of diffs i am going to try to swing for, they are the supermaxx housings with all robinson racing gears
and if i cant get the diffs to fit, then i will put 'em in my emaxx lol

does anyone know of any company that makes metal gears for the e revo transmission? thanks for your time
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
Hey Kenny I can't believe I just found out about the thread, shame on you Kenny lol, ok I can tell you a metal spur is not
Needed, diff are fine just build them right and put read automotive high temp axle grease in there, put it in the diffs
and the case , forget oil, put glue on the screws that
Hold the differentials housing on because if you use oil the glue won't work. I have had a lot fail on me and its because those 4
Screws come lose on the gear where the diffs are. The glue will prevent that . Traxxas bearing burn up with the xo-1 motor so
Use boca bearings , 2 bucks a piece and you good. Call me or text me and I can explain it better. Good luck Kenny . Btw the
Stocks shafts will hold up unless you just smash it which I don't thinks you should do lol, it's all in the driving.. Remember
Metal is expensive to replace plastic is not so just adjust that slipper right and you all good. Just a few minor things no need
To spend a bunch of money..
thanks man, i think i will get the center diff, and just not do any diff mods other than those mentioned by kitchen

batteries and motor mount arrived; can't start the build just yet, as family is here on vacation due to the hollidays

4 wheel drive steering!!!!
just kidding... broke a knuckle
its not what ya think either, i hit a bump, and it cart wheeled; it just so happens to be that the wheel smacked perfectly on a giant slab of concrete...![]()

about a week ago i got a replacement axle carrier, reinstalled it; found that i had a cracked bearing, and about 5 hours ago i installed a brand new bearing- so it is up and running again! after i get the time to go to our "local" hoby shop i will buy the right gearing and throw in that motor and esc combo! by the way, our hobby shop is 100 miles away...

Nice job man I can't wait to see this thing!!! Post up a lot of pics and you should post up a video when your done![]()
this thread would be useless without pictures and videos of the ending result!![]()

after learning that the 2200 mamba and the 1717 mamba motors have the same sized shaft, i will hopefully have time in the near future to put the mamba 1717 system in; as i am short of time due to a hour long bus ride to and from school, with a 3 hour wresting practice after school as well.
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
the 1717 I had, was a 6mm shaft...idb..

Would you go flip my truck back over??
when i go to put on the pinion, i will be looking for any slop whatsoever, if none is found, i will run it.
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
I used the pinion from the 2200kv on the 1717 so it should work
sppppaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccceeeeeeeeee!!!!!
thats what i heard, thank ya kind sir

got some work done today, i got the 2200kv motor and mmm esc taken off, while they were off i gave the chassis a good cleaning. I got the custom motor mount situated onto the motor, i am in the midst of taking off the shock brace, so i took off the rear skid plate, undid all the bolts on the center, and went on to the front only to find a stripped bolt; so i am putting off the build till tomorrow to go find the reverse drill bits out of the work truck. thats all that i have gotten done today.
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
Bummer! I keep a set in my bag but haven't needed them
i have an extra esc mount screw, im hoping that it will be long enough to replace the stripped one, if not i will just get a regular drill bit and put it right back in lol
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
finished it all up, i dont have a camera to upload pics, but i can text someone pictures and they could upload them if they were willing to.
I took off the shock brace, and made my own little spacers for the top and underneat the shocks where the screw goes, so the shocks wont hit the chassis.
Everything is really tight in there.
EDIT: almost forgot, do i need to calibrate the esc to the receiver?
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
got the answer- thank you 50
progress report: i ordered some gearing from the hobby shop- going to run it tomorrow (with stock gearing)
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
That's good! Always glad to help
took my first test run today, i couldn't make out any difference out due to the snow making it just spin out (due to the insane amount of torque), but the thing was still hauling with the stock gearing
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
Little hard testing it spinning those wheels!
i actually never went full throttle, even lugging arround it was peeling out hehehehe...
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
i was messing arround with it today on the highway, i see a car coming and pull off the road, as the car goes by i think "i think i could race him". i pull back onto the road and pass him completely- even with stock gearing i was doing pretty good, arround 40mph or so
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
That's fun! Probably trips them out to see it accelerate so fast and pass them!
i think it did... they swerved slightly to the right
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
I saw a video like that except the rc pulled to the left and the car ran over it!
i was pretty far on the left lane, pretty close to going off the road actually, i knew the person driving wasn't going to run it over, she was and elderly women and everyone knows they don't do things like that...lol
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
No the rc driver accidentaly turned under the car!
Paid the price
kenny so just wondering, do you notice the car topping out quicker with the new motor?
sppppaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccceeeeeeeeee!!!!!
with the really crappy gearing, its really hard to tell, it certainly gets up to speed quicker, but it seems to top out at about the same speed as the regular 2200kv; but i will be able to give out a better answer after i get some decent gearing.
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
With the more torque it should be able to handle way taller gearing to male up for the kv difference. Although more load more draw
well, havn't updated this in a bit due to time loss working on my plymouth duster. Anyways, i plan on charging the batterries tomorrow and taking a video, i also installed a 23t pinion.

the XO1 motor fits right in the erevo right?

to use the stock motor mount, you have to drill it out in a spot, and you have to make your own custom shock mounts in the rear, but their is a kit my kershaw designs that is high enough that you dont have to do any other fabrication other than install the new mount- not even to the shocks. but other than those two things, it bolted right up
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
I can't see why anyone would need more power than the mm and 2200 kv motor it already has more power than the truck can handle. still cool seeing people do it though.
6S OR NOTHING............................ maybe 5s
I take what I said back I just read through your thread I see your going for top end speed and more torque so you can gear it to the moon with the bigger can and lower kv with less temp issues
6S OR NOTHING............................ maybe 5s
Ooo, I'd rather not do any modifications. Plus I have no reason to spend money on a new motor when mine is new.

i actually recommend to not do the xo-1 conversion, with the 1717 motor, you are limited on quite a few things, for instance: gearing, drive shafts (as the torque would probably rip certain shafts to bits), and the conditions you run in. Where as you can endlessly mod the stock e-revo as far as your wallet will let you, and have a nearly bullet proof rc. The reason i did it is because im pretty lenient, and i got a GREAT deal on the motor and esc combo.
