Keeping your spring retainers
I have lost a few lower spring retainers during bashing and at the race track and here is what I've done to prevent looseing them again.
I just used a piece of 24g telephone wire and ran it through the hole in the retainer and around the lower portion of the spring, then twisted the ends together. Simple, cheap and works.....

That is a good idea.
Where did you get those hinge pins? I just got done shiming those stock ones with the pain in the butt c clips. Would love to get a set of those for the front and back.

X2 on the hinge pins with the C clips....They work good but a pain for me to deal with.....
I purchased the STRC hinge pin set from my local hobby shop. Part # ST3640S and comes with pins and lock nuts for front and rear inside hinge and front and rear caster block/bearing carriers, (8 total). I think retail was $17 for the set.
I have them in both of my Slashes and my grandsons Bandit.
They also fit the Rustler and Stampede

Thanks orca, looks like I will be getting a set in the near future.
