has anyone used the Hitec HS-225MG?
how do you like it if you do?
is there another servo you suggest?

I run that servo, works good, a little touchy, plenty strong. You will have to be careful installing, it fits tight. I used dremel and made a little notch for the wires, otherwise you may damage wires getting it in there. The traxxas horn will not fit, I trimed one of the ones that come with it down and drilled a littler bigger hole for the screw. I have not had any issues with it, like I said I think it is a little stronger, and faster than the stock one. I turned my radio down, because it was a little touchy, and hard to keep straight at high speed. Hope this helps, good luck

Blue Bird 390 is a drop in if you want to go that route.
BB 390 Set Up
All stock hardware is used.
NONE of the hardware included is needed!
There are tab braces that do not allow the servo guard to sit flush.
IT IS OPTIONAL TO REMOVE THEM.
I have done this both ways without any adverse reactions.
Here is a picture of the braces:
(thanks goes to danielhr77 for the picture)
The tab braces create a small gap between the chassis and the servo guard.
Here is how it plugs in:
You will also need to reverse the servo direction.

Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
futaba has a metal gear servo that bolts right up also, and you dont have to mess with the settings.
does anyone know what the voltage output to our servo is???
I have that servo, It looks to be a real tight fit, takes some dremel work I'm waterproofing it before I run it. I might try the bluebird 390 in my MERV, just going to wait till spring when I order a few batteries.
