Got the hubs installed. They are sweet!
My daughter wanted her merv back so I spent the day taking the 9000kv big block off and I put my spare neu 1110 1/y on there. She wanted to take the lil revos out this weekend so didn't have time to work on the bulkheads

And can't forget about the hpp motor brace!

I was talking to castle about replacing the motor bearings.I know they epoxy the rear endbell. They said the rear bearing can not be replaced!

Yes it can be, I dont remember if you tap the end of the motor with a 2x4 on it or what, but I will find that thread.

Edit: I can't find it now, but I am sleep deprived. I do remember a thread on rcmonster and he showed how to change the rear "non-serviceable bearing. That is like the sticker on atvs and dirt bikes that says not to jump or do wheelies. HA.

When I bought aluminum rocker arms I forgot about the mount for the rear sway bar but with multiple mounting points I lucked out the extra holes are perfect distance and thread size for the sway bar!

Let us know how they work out with the swaybar...I was thinking about getting some a while back but wasn't sure if you could mount the swaybar .

my build is on hold a little longer .my new aluminum diff cases have some up and down play with the pinion .brand new bearings but i see the whole bearing move a bit. ordered 2 more hopefully they will be better meanwhile i will play with doing some grinding on the cases for less grinding on the bulkheads since i won't be running these. looks like taking the merv's out again this weekend
this is getting old!

After getting very frustrated with the first attempt grinding the front bulkhead I did a little clean up on the diff case. just a small amount helped out a lot

wow... i thought i was doing good to have my kawasaki erbe have upgraded rims and tires, rear skid plate, and front lower a arms... flushed my dream right down the toilet- just kiddin' buddy, nice job on the build

Well with the losi mod you loose some gearing. I figure it will take 4 teeth on the pinion to make up for it

Shims came today for the spider gears. I shimmed them and refilled with diff oil and they are ready to go!

i started working on my kawi erbe today, got all the prepping done... now i have to put a spacer in between the shocks where the shock brace would have been... the 1717 motor is right on the edge of that bolt- LOL!

Went through the same with my neu 1112 in my merv!

Think I am going put a wire brush on my dremel and toughen up inside and outside of the bulkhead. Inside to give the hot glue something to hold on to.the carrier too and on the outside scuff up the plastic for the expoxy to stick. No real thin spots just for reinforcements

I.picked up a kershaw heavy duty slipper spring. Sounded good so I thought I would try it

Went out bashing today, trying to jump 60ft and get some better videos footage...It was 36°C here at 9am. My eRevo wasn't performing so well in the heat today. Only managed to jump about 55ft .

I'm considering getting those, but can't help but wonder if it would be better to stick with plastic ones for bashing. What with plastic being more flexible and all, and something tells me that rocker arms are subject to quite a lot of stress.

Nice! We are in a cold streak 32 outside this morning. I would take the heat any day!

I had aluminum rockers on one of my mervs with no problems and the design and motion of rockers aluminum should be nice and strong

i finally have the rear assembled ! installed the hr rockers was worried about mounting the sway bar . i removed the spacer for the rocker arm post and lowered the adjustment where the links mount on the sway bar to clear the rocker arm and it works perfectly

Where did you get the Hpp brace? Straight from Germany. How did it fit and what did it cost you?

Wait, so those HR rockers are one-piece?! How can you possibly attach shocks and push rods without putting excessive stress on the rockers?

With stock rockers its not a problem and aluminum is much stronger than plastic

Not sure I like how close to the chassis the sway bars are though. May have to use Tekno sways instead.

I would hate to break a bulkhead now that I went losi so I decided to make a chasisis brace. Was a little more difficult with the hpp brace but worked out good. Put a stud so it will be easy to take off and wont strip
Picked up an aluminum shock mount too

Looking good ...I still have not seen the need to do this mod yet. If I start breaking rear bulkheads on a regular basis I may look into it.
