Good idea! I haven't decided if I want to bash with it. We get carried away up there
So I am going to try the roll cage
Didn't like a few things right off the bat. Mainly I had to take the rear sway bar off maybe a different brand will work. Had to bend the front easy bar together a little bit and the center mount has a small bracket with a knurled head on the bolt. Both just spin when I tighten them up
Trucks still not too heavy just over 11lbs with spc 5400 50c batteries
Does anyone know why the front skid plate is not one piece that also mount to the steering post?
Seems like it would be much stronger
I received the tony's screw set today. Glad the screws are better because the rcscrewz box is much better!![]()
I'll wait your comments on the roll cage...I never liked it much.
Rock n Rolla !
I do think they could of worked on it a bit more. Edges are very sharp too
Yep broke out the sandpaper last night
Turns out the flm hybrid for my maxx is shaping up to be a bigger pain then the losi mod
Ordered bulkheads without diffs because no one stocks them. Now flm are made for older style diffs that were wider and never changed design. So my losi diff will need a 2mm shim behind the ring gear. That's big!
So far one thing after another on this project tool
Yeah 2mm is a large gap. For a ring gear.
If its not breaken then your not racing.
I have some hyper 7 diffs on their way to see if they will work better
Made a tool to remove the rear motor bearing![]()
Its made out of a big nail! The e maxx rear bearing came out fairly easy the revo fought me all the way. Had to regrind it perfectly to fit the bearing and was still a pain
Pulling the motor with the roll cage wasnt too hard . Hard part was the motor brace!
I just installed my orange seal ceramics ! Now have them in my revo and my e maxx
The losi will work but the flm bulkheads are designed for wider diffs. I shimmed it 1.6mm which is a lot ! Brings the cup far away from the axle and sometimes they recommend extended shafts. So I ordered some hyper 7 diffs and will see is they fit better

humm if it works excellent. I dont think i have nails that big. i think ill keep using the tool i borrowed for mine if i can find it again lol.

I picked up a front aluminum shock mount to match the rear. Had to do a little grinding to get the mount to fit over the brace![]()
When I was installing the orange seal ceramics I had my neu small block next to it. My neu 1112 is twice has hard to turn then my 1515. I couldn't believe how much harder

Got all these views with no comments!
im watching :P
still frustrated from braking a rear bulkhead again with a losi diff. i might put back the integy ones, they are heavy but i m with 3 set of batteries so :/ i dont know.

ok i have some comments!
first of all i am stealing the front brace thing. i never thought to put a rod to the middle screw and i killed hours cutting the body post so that a rod passes through, and making a metal plate to go on the 2 front screws. is yours good for the flex or not then? because it doesnt actually hold the bulkhead on both sides... I think that screw will flex in the chassis. i am looking for something solid to prevent the integy aluminum bulks from bending upwards.
second, you have those aluminum rockers, i instead bought the lunsford titanium rocker screws. the steel ones ALWAYS bend on me, destroying the bearings with time. i hope the $33 are invested well.
3. a tip. i added some stiff pad inside the front RPM bumper holder because yes it breaks. and after that the bumper itself brakes. i dont have a pic atm but i put a rectangle pad there and caught it with 3 tie wraps. seems more solid
4. how does the epoxy on the bulkheads hold so far?
<3 Traxxas~Align~Ducati~Lib-tech~JacksonGtrs <3
it broke right where i did the trimming near the diff's pinion. where he has put epoxy under the screw :P i think i will screw a horizontal metal part there for now until i figure smth out (or put back the integy anchor bulkhead)
edit: well thats actually you who put the epoxy lol!

I would think the brace helps. How much don't know I went with the roll cage and didn't go any further
If the titanium posts work let me know. Never had good luck with their pillow balls on my merv
On my merv I use that hard foam that traxxas uses in their packaging so I know that helps!but I have a T bone front bumper on the way but might have to trim it I hate how big and bulky they look but they work
On the front I ran jbweld because I ran out of the plastic epoxy I used in the rear. It came off on the first ride! I had a few headons with my e maxx. Front lower skid plate design puts all the force on the front half of the bulkhead and its two lower bolts and T bone uses the 4 bolts
Let us know how that roll cage works out for you mate...my epoxy broke off the bulkheads too. I don't use it anymore.
Rock n Rolla !
so far only thing i don't like is i can't run a rear sway bar and i think with the motor mount i can't run the tekno sway bar either
it would be close with the tekno maybe with some mods
Picked up some more shims and a T bone 3 piece front bumper. That will tie the bottom together much better![]()
here's a good one: save some rc parts for the rest of us!![]()

The T-Bone front bumper is the only bumper from T-Bone I'm currently missing, I think I just don't like how it looks. Can you post some nice photos of it when its mounted? Maybe that will change my mind.
Dave! NO more. I feel the need to do whatever you are doing...![]()

ha! just think how strong our revo's will end up!
i like how it will distributes the impact better!
![]()
better then i thought it would look

Looks good. I have the tbone stuff on my 3.3 converted revo and love it! Gonna pick up some for my slash mt too.
I'll be watching your feedback on the T-Bone skid...not sure I'd put that on. My front bulk is holding up well now that I profiled the diff to suit. No more cracked front bulkhead, I've done some heavy bashing with it so far and holding up strong. I'll see how long it lasts but so far a huge improvement.
Rock n Rolla !
I think when I have time I will finish the integy bulkhead and assemble it with my spare losi diff and have it on standby. Not going to run it in my e maxx and flm hybrid so it will give me something to do
You are a master basher, mate. I TRIED to break a front bulkhead and couldn't. I launched 30 feet in distance down a 20 foot cliff nose down and it was perfectI only used amazing goop on the outside where you were breaking yours and it is seemingly bulletproof...
I reject your reality and substitute my own!
Hopefully the last of maxx parts come tomorrow so we can bash Sunday!
