I'm running the Savox servo...post #42 without a BEC. I'm am really impressed at how well this servo handles.
I'm a Rock n Rolla !
I'm running a hitec 7955tg stock esc working great.going to want to upgrade to a aluminium horn and bell crank
As well to be able to use the extra torque.the stock plastic is a bit too flexy
For hi torque use.
Sent using lipo power

I have a set of mudslingers will the servo provide enough power to turn them?
Would you go flip my truck back over??
Has anyone tried the savox SA1283SG?
No, but looking at the specs its faster than mine with less talk...it should be OK.

Besides the servo what else is recommended to change or upgrade to acheive a single servo steering system?
The for sure stuff is servo horn(aluminium) and most change the steering bell crank to aluminium as well.
Just to remove the flexing of the plastic.
Depending on what you upgrade in the bell crank, may need a washer to stiffen the servo saver spring.

I just purchased the Hitec 7950TH a few weeks ago it can handle 7.4 volts giving 486 oz/in but I'm running it through my original esc which provides 6 volts giving me 403 oz/in. When I put my RokLox 40 series with beadlocks on, it throws them around with out a problem. I one happy Summit owner![]()
I went with a Futaba S9157 with an aluminum servo horn, aluminum servo arm, aluminum bellcrank mount and a washer under the servo saver. I run the stock EVX2 with a Dewalt motor and NO external BEC and have never had a single problem or glitch at all. This servo fits great and has WAY more torque than youll ever need. It aint cheap, but good costs $$
