Pede vxl motor in monster mutt

Anybody know if my pede motor and esc will work in my daughters monster mutt? Cause I ordered a castle set up

Should be no problem. All MJ models are variations of the Stampede. With the exception of the 1/16 GD, of course.

Yep sure is, the Mutt should already have metal geared tranny the only thing you should need to do is put bearings in place of the bushings in the carriers if you have not done that already. The brushless power will spit out wheel bushings in short order.

So the MJ model won't have a pinion already?

Or you could put a 32P pinion on if you have a 32P spur to mesh with. Its stronger than 48P, but you can't run the gear cover.

The same pinions and motor screws, the mount for the esc may be different than the xl5 though.

Esc mount is part # 3626. Pinion and spur you might wanna switch to 48p because then you can run a gear cover. I recommend the rpm gear cover for traxxas 2wd transmissions... Screws that hold the motor to the transmission case are different. Hope this helps!
