Hey Braden, I see your logged on at school too. I need to put away my riding mowers, so I won't have time to build the track today. You and blake can go over and work on it without me. There is a 5% chance I'll finish early, and if I do, I'll call you and see what's going on. Pm if you have any questions!

More updates! We got alot done today, I'm happy with what we got done.
We tried some ideas for a jump, and we started working on the mini bumps.

This is the idea we had for a jump. I know, it looks like trash, but that's because it is trash. We made it of stuff we've found in the field.

We still need to make more bumps and that one in the picture was before we finished it. It just was too dark to take any more Pictures

No, not really. We're just building it to have a track to run our 1/10 Summit, (mine) 2 1/16 Summits, and 1/16 E-Revo on. Ya, I know, those cars are not track cars at all, but it's sure it going to be fun though!

    Lookin' good!

Here's a little tip for you that I learned from personal experience. You should try not to dig down below ground level when making jumps or whoops because when it rains, they will fill with water quick. I made the same mistake and ended up having to fill all the low spots and raise the hills higher to compensate.

This thread is inspiration for me to get some pics and vids up of our track. It's been in the works for a couple years now and changes every month or so. We have a few vids from over the years, but most of them have something in them that keeps me from being able to post them on this forum.

Wow, this is what it should look like. "It's too cold to build our track, it's all ice." LOL.

Lol.... was the last picture of the "trash" a bridge for a loop arround and drive over on that to go over the track?
Yep, good eye! That junk bridge will be made of particle board or somthing, that's just a rough idea for what it would look like.

If the snow is semi gone we should get out there as soon as possible
Ya, I kind of hope the snow melts over the rest of the weekend, so we can work on our track again, but then, we just got a weather warning saying we might get another 4-5 inches of snow tonight.

Got some more work done on the track today! Most of the snow melted from the big snow storm we had so we decided to work. The ground was really really soft so it was so easy to dig. The only problem was that the dirt was heavy from being so wet. Pictures will be coming soon.

Ok, sorry about not updating for 2 days. My computer got a virus. It's fixed now, so here is alot of updates on the track!
Here is what the track looked like after all of the 2 feet of snow melted.

Here is the banked turn, or at least the start of it.

Here is the jump so we can cross over our track...

Here is after an hour, we almost finished the 2nd straight away...

Here is a picture after we finished the straight away, and starting the loop de loop...

Sorry about the long post, many more pictures needed!
Here is the loop de loop I was talking about, it makes the track SO much more interesting then just using a simple turn.

Another picture of the loop de loop...

    Overhead picture...

    Almost done...

    Done!

We are going to add more jumps, banked turns, whoops, and other fun stuff like that today! If anyone has questions on what the track's layout or order is, just ask!

Update! We got out today and worked on it some more, and I got a video of me running my Slash on it to! Sorry about the low video quality, it's all I got. Also sorry about the short video, my camera ran out of memory. We made 2 more ruts, a huge jump, and we're starting to dig out the intersection of the loop de loop, so we can dig a tunnel to drive over. Just click on the link to watch! Sorry about my Slash being so slow... I geared it really low because I didn't know how hard the track would be on the motor... Enjoy!

The voice at 0:35 is my friend asking if I'll still be able to see my Slash when it's at the other side of the track, and yes, this video did make the track look small, but trust me, it's alot bigger than it looks. I know there is bigger tracks out there, but we built this track to have fun.

Ok, here's a slight update... We built a bridge to complete the loop de loop. We will make it taller and better, we just set the bridge there so I could take a picture of what it will look like. Included is also a picture of the other jump we made. Sorry for the low picture quality, my camera HATES low light levels.

And here is the bridge we made. Yes, like I said, this is just a rough idea of what it will look like when we're done.

That is what we where originally planning to do, but the fact I'll be using my 1/10 Summit on the track, we thought we'd make a bridge just in case my Summit is too heavy, or slow to clear the gap. Who knows. We might not even need it. It's just a pre-caution just in case my Summit won't make the jump.
