    New Summit package from traxxas

well now it seems when you buy a summit you can get the normal one with 2 7 cell batts or the newer ones now come with 2 2s 5000 traxxas lipos and 2 traxxas lipo chargers
in my opinon a very smart move by traxxas!

Oh that's cool! Two chargers though? Seems like a waste of money for them... Pretty awesome though!

$42.50 extra per lipo, that's not bad. If you're like me you don't use the nihm's anyway, I'd shell out extra if I didn't already own a summit. Plus I hear the traxxas lipos are pretty decent.

I would like to see an option to buy them WITHOUT batteries all together.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

I think Traxxas should have an option that any RC could be bought as a kit. I enjoy building RCs, and if you think about it would be cheaper for Traxxas. They wouldnt have to pay someone to build it.

Where did you hear about this new option?

It looks like most models have this option.

I fly LiPo RC helis and don't need extra chargers or the NiMH packs. Would prefer a bare bones kit too.

The only barebones kit Traxxas sells is the Platinum Slash 4x4.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

Cool! Good job on Traxxas's part... I might just have to save up the extra cash and get the one with lipos for christmas...

I agree on the kit/roller option. I don't need anymore tx/rx, wall chargers, nimhs, etc. Also clear shell would be great, c'mon traxxas, give us options!

No, I think he means having the option of getting a clear shell when you buy an RTR truck. I think that having the option of not getting radios, ESCs, and motor would be nice. But I think it make it harder for LHS to stock Traxxas kits. Unless, they make it custom order kits.

Actually, I think that's a really good idea, to be able to order a custom kit from Traxxas. It could be like ordering a computer from a place like Dell. You get to pick everything on it, and have it shipped to your house.

I've only bought 1 new Traxxas truck, a Pede and it was my first. I would probably buy new trucks this way...

All my RC's are custom ordered... Yes, Traxxas should have a kit like the platnium slash as option where you can have a clear shell along with no set of batteries...

This. Just like the platinum slash. So what if it's harder to stock? Every other company offers options, so should traxxas.
