The Official Traxxas DR1 and QR1 Helicopter Photo Gallery. Post your pictures here!

Welcome to the Traxxas DR1 and QR1 Helicopter Photo Gallery, a place where everyone can show off. Feel free to list all of your current hop-ups, etc.

    Here are the Rules:

1: This thread is for pictures only, if you have a question for one of the people posting a picture, please send them an e-mail or a PM so the thread doesn't get cluttered with chit-chat. If you are posting a picture, please make sure your preferences are set to receive PM's from other members.

2: Maximum picture size should be 640x480 (preferably smaller) so it will fit on most people's computer screens without scrolling, and to be considerate to those on a dial-up connection. Anything larger will be deleted.

3: Anything off topic will be deleted.

4: Any "dead" links will be deleted.

5: Again, CHAT is not allowed.

Okay, enough with the Rules - HAVE FUN!

I'm liking the Father/Son deal! Too cool. I'm still hoping one of my 3 Daughters may pick up the RC addiction...

Well, I want to add my new QR-1 to the photos. I got home tonight and this was sitting on my door step.

Dr-1 with the Xtreme racing frame set.

The pieces weigh about half of the stock frame.

proof of concept: a working FPV system mounted on my QR-1! I flew only a couple of times before a good fall onto hardwood floor broke a soldering connection, which seems to be impossible to re-solder, so I will need a new transmitter. This system could be a lot lighter if cleaned up better and not mounted with duck tape. I still need to experiment with using a single high capacity battery, right now I am using an external 100mah 1s lipo. All together it took a lot more throttle to take off which was confusing, it sounded like it should be climbing when it was actually falling.

Just a little hover. Amazing how staple they are once you get them trimmed.
