I just got a used rally and i saw a good thread reviewing lots of different shocks. Just cant find it now. The car is used and the first shock i took off was bent so upgrading shocks looks to be first.

Traxxas GTR ones never let me down.
Nobody is born with experience.
The GTr's are pretty good.
Thrash It, Bash it, Break it, No Regrets!!!
The hr shock bodies work great just use the stock traxxas blue seals
GTRs are what I run on my MERV currently, i'm satisfied with them!
SUMMIT |MERV * FIVE-T * REVO-E| T- MAXX-E
I'd get the GTRs if you can get a good deal on them but, if not, I would just get the Tin shafts and use them in the stock shocks.
I built my stock shocks up to GTR shocks over time, on ebay the aluminum bodies are $3.75 individually so that's $15 total, the TiN shafts can be bought for $13. I like the aluminum shock body because the plastic spring adjuster on the plastic body can get cross-threaded and terrible for adjusting. For my 2nd vehicle I am considering HR or GPM because for the price I can get more aluminum goodies and add TiN shafts later.
I like turtles.
