im not impressed with the price on this - Dynamite isnt the greatest brand in the world

MMM is splash proof, can be easily be made waterproof. Great customer service, 6s capable and very programmable. Great history of dependability. Priced similiar ($270)
And since it is also unsensored, it will stutter, surge and cogg just as well as the Dynamite - but will do it with more power

Mamba system up here is around 340, where can a guy get a dewalt motor around Canada, my lhs doesn't seem to no anything about them.
you can order a dewalt motor from internet businesses. Simple internet search should pull up results for ya.
Check Ebay for the Mamba Monster system. Even to ship to Canuck-a-stan should be less than 340$![]()

My lhs also has a Tekin system, I think it's a 2000 kv sensored system. How are they for wet conditions and is that the right kv for a summit?
Canuck-a-stan, hahaha! :P
Usually people order the Dewalt straight from a dealer, not a hobby store.
1800-2200kv is just right for the Summit in my opinion.
I suggest based on experience to get a 2100kv, running the Castle MMP ESC. It's a smaller ESC 6s capable, and can also run sensored motors for much smoother operation.
If you are really worried about water though, it would be best to stick with the stock electronics and motor. Cheap, and warrentied.
If you are more adventurous, get the MMP and a 2100kv motor run it sensored, and waterproof it yourself - very easily with some LIQUID ELECTRIC TAPE from crappy tire or something. *cheers
I say go for it with the dynamite system. Keep the receipt and make sure he warranty isn't voided by water. Then run it and let us know how it goes. IMO a summit isn't well suited to running above 4 s anyway so you shouldn't need more and I'd the system proves to work well and be waterproof it might be a decent coice for others. You'll have to be the guinea pig for th rest of us though. But there's some sort of honor involved in taking the risk for the rest of us...

Just concerned that 1800 kv might be slow on 4s. So on the fence right now.
Anybody run the Tekin in the snow?
You can use a shower cap to cover the chassis and run in the snow.

Dewalt 14.4v Summit
I wouldn't go with anything dynamite I got two Lipo Battery's from them at $100 a piece and one puffed up after one use and they wouldn't replace it. I give there Customer service a ZERO.
Pulling Summit
Lol nice hampster
Ive had a few Dynamite products over the years and have found their customer service to be quite good. Ive never returned a lipo specifically, but I have dealt with them on a power system and they had a no questions asked attitude. So often Customer service is about particular person you speak to rather than a true company policy. If you get a good agent... you get good service. Bad agent, bad service. Thats why, when I feel im getting bad service, I just call back and get a different agent. Most of the time, the 2nd person takes good care of me.

So I bought the fuze system and brought and esc has a big crack in the case, with a made in china on the bottom.Returned it and grabbed a Tekin rx8 2250kv system instead. Anyone know if the outerwear skirt will keep the snow and water out in winter?
Outerwears is the way to go if you want to run non waterproof stuff in the winter. Tons of people use them around here.
Too bad about the quality of the Dynamite ESC... but lets be honest, a ton of the stuff we buy is made in china so that shouldnt be a detractor IMO. Quality is quality no matter where its from... on the flip side, junk is junk weather its made in china the good 'ol USA... (or canada... but who cares right)

Haha yeah who cares about those guys!
Sucks about the case, but are you happy with the Tekin?
Tekin on 4s or the mamba even, on 4s
Is plenty fast for this truck.i ran the MMP all last winter with the dewalt and a outerwears cover worked great.

Mountains cant stop me

Just soldering it up now,any ideas on gearing with 4s ?
I run 4s with my 2200kv, and it's not TOO much quicker than stock with the stock gearing, it's certainly faster but not HUGELY. So give the stock gearing a test, drive for a couple mins and check the temps, then if they're fine drive longer... if they're still fine, I've seen a lot of people talk about 17t pinions.
