3.3 Engine Performance Mod

Just wondering what you guys think of this crank a guy is selling for the 3.3, coming from a 2-stroke background a little more porting of the crank should get some more power out of the 3.3, i need to stomp my buddys 3.3 & i think this might just do it.

I'm modifying my 3.3. It wasn't really that hard at all. I know there are some cheap (under 20$) "made in China" dremel copies and other similar rotary tools, that come with the necessary bits and you can get advice on the cuts just by looking aftermarket high performance cranks and there are also many forums where you will find topics about porting and other nitro engine mods, so I'd just do it my self. But nothing is stopping you from buying that crank of ebay, as that was after all only my opinion. Also I'd start on the outside of the engine, like getting a high performance pipe, better clutch and carb and stuff like that.

Now if you bought this would you need sleeve and all or what cause at the bottom Of the description it says 100 buck for it to basically withstand the extra rpm

Them rods do look better, I hadn't seen them, less metal would normally mean less strength though, but a lighter rod would help with higher RPM's. Be much better than the stock rod though.

Yup, the RB Mods con rod should be the way to go, as most 3.3 con rod problems are split con rods (The RB Mods con rod doesn't have a groove from hole to hole and the 2 grooves that the RB Mods con rod has are on the same side and the other side is solid) and destroyed upper ends, because stock upper hole doesn't have a bushing. Knife edging shouldn't make the rod weaker, maybe even stronger as it isn't trying to limit those high RPMs.
